Amateur here but enjoy detailing, so I never have asked about paint thickness. This shows 5.2, your recent 350R was 5.1 and GT500 was 6.2, all 2020s.
Anything you notice from OEMs on paint thickness consistency?
Also, different areas may be different? For example the 350R at 5.1 and 500 at 6.2 painted at same plant was interesting.
Last, best OEM paint?

That detail job came out awesome. Nice work, as always. I'm sure the customer was really pleased with it.

Nice clean garage, by the way, as I'd expect. ;)

Thanks everyone! Appreciate the comments!!!!

Bimini: They all can vary. They are usually within a 'range', but all are different.
Different areas will have different 'thicknesses'. This one ranged from the 5's to the low 2's on the rear spoiler/wing and some other areas.

Door jams, wings/spoilers, some front/rear bumper covers, all will usually have different readings.

Most of what I see will average in the 4-5mil range from the factory. (Subies are notoriously 'thin'-lucky if you see 3mils from the factory)

Best: Bentley/Rolls, Porsche, Mercedes is decent, McLaren has some pretty good paint from the factory.

It's amazing to me how BIG these cars are now. EXCELLENT work on a "Meh Colored" car...I'm NOT a fan of the interior color.

YOUR work...however looks FANTASTIC and makes that thing look as good as it can...
