If it's an IFS car it will likely ride better than a Wrangler and still be able to hit the beach and do light trails with ease which is where most Wranglers go anyway.
Yup, and there will be Long Travel kits for it. It will be a popular desert racer and dune bomber.

I'm sure the usual suspects are standing by to make weld up SAS kits as well.

Lots of hot IFS vehicles. Toyota, Ford Ranger, Silverado.

That has worried me for years. I fear that one day the 2-door will go the way of manual transmissions.

The Sport will be decent (segment leading performance) for what it is.

Agreed manual transmissions are getting scarce.

I’m sure they will sell, it just does nothing for me.

It is 100% IFS, It is more than guaranteed it will ride better than any Jeep and given those specs, stock for stock will do anything a Rubicon can do on the rocks as well.

Two issues.

1. More than likely, I'm going to want to get the wife one of these in 4 door.
2. I won't want to pay what they're going to ask for them new.

My guess is that you'll be lucky be at $37K for a 4x4 4-Door "comfortably" optioned. Pushing 55k for a big boy.

Oddly enough, I've also toyed the idea of a Mach-E (she likes them too)... $50,000+. So, I can use the cost savings for my business case to push the Bronco???

I have a feeling that used market on these a few years out may still be pretty hot like the Jeep and you won't see awful depreciation. Makes the used vs. new decision harder.

We'll see where it all shakes out in a few years. I think I've accepted the decision to let her '10 Edge litterally break before getting rid of it ($4k trade IF I'm lucky). 177,000 miles and it just keeps chugging. Front rotor/brakes, two sets of tires and oil is literally all we've put into it.

She is WFH (prior, during, post to C19) so it's hard to justify an expensive vehicle for her use. I'm WFH (during and likely post C19), so I already have the 500 and a 15 F150 that sit quite a bit. I'd rather not have $100k worth of cars that primarily sit in a garage.

we are almost in the same situation. The wife currently drives a 2012 Edge Limited AWD that has proven to be bulletproof. She's been eyeballing an Area 51 2-door Bronco as our next purchase to replace the Edge. She does in-home social work in the medical field, so she goes up some pretty sketchy roads and hillside driveways here in WV. She likes the 2-door because she'll be able to make tighter turns, and I love the way it looks just from the few leaks we've seen. We've got the FX4 SCrew for comfy road trips with extra passengers.
