22K miles. Claims 100% stock. But 3 owners (did one or more of them mod and de-mod?). States it is basically brand new. Uh....NO! Not even close to being correct!

The seller is asking an exorbitant price for a relatively new mileage '03 Cobra which has a desirable paint color. But that's his choice in hoping someone who wants a lower mileage CO Cobra will bite. Likely not gonna happen at that price, though. Can't blame the guy for trying. The looks to be in outstanding shape, though.

Well someone has to push the barrier.

Key to negotiating is to set the boundary. He's setting it at $40k, maybe hell come down to 30k? But that's better then starting at $25k and coming down to $19k.

This all just good news for use Cobra owners. High Tides raise all ships.

Price gouging is when you live in hurricane alley.....and items everyone must have like drinking water or plywood suddenly goes up 1,000% over night.

This is a car. Anyone can ask whatever they want. Doesn't mean they're going to get it, or even close to it. But they sure as heck can try. If it scares everyone off, then they can sit on it a loooooong time.

Or....if it does happen to move close to those prices.....all current terminator owners will sit back and giggle $$$

I agree. The seller can price it at anything he wants to. Is it over priced? I would say yeah its definitely on the high side. Theres always someone out there that has more money then brains and I'm sure they'll buy it.

There are people whos brains are well developed too.
Their annual income allows them buy w/e the hell they want with no buyers remorse.

I see it everyday in my field of work.

Yup, if you want a clean low mile CO Cobra this weekend... Then paying an extra $10k to not dick around hunting for one may just be a great deal.

Not price gouging at all, and I hope he gets close to asking (I know he won't, the market isn't there yet for those particular cars, he's looking at high $20's for the coupe, and high $20's/low $30's for the CO).

Check the other auctions...93 cobra for $48900 and a 2020 Rolex for $41k

Based on pics, looks like the sort of seller that doesn't need to sell. Maybe a naggy spouse wants more space in the garage etc, but if no one buys then can't sell. "Economy is down, hon. Nobody's buying 15 year old mustangs".

I wouldn't sell mine for 40k.

Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk

Neither would I. I would say that $40k would be the absolute minimum for me to consider letting it go, and I’d still be losing money. The market will come around sooner or later for these just as it did for other special Mustangs in the past. For some reason enthusiast sites like this are the worst places to gauge actual value. When I had my FFR Cobra replica back in ‘06, everyone on the forums supporting those cars was saying they only sold for mid $20’s - maybe $30k tops. Guess what? I put it on eBay and got almost $60k! When you have an exceptional car, someone will pay for it if that’s what they want. In my case, the buyer was from Germany, and paid to ship it there too.

I couldn't sell mine for $40k, but if someone offered me that for it I'd sure as hell take it.

But: mine's got over 90k on the clock and needs painted and some other this & that kinda stuff to be done that I haven't felt like dealing with. New tint, etc.
