Took this one last night at 9:05 PM. At the time of the photo, she was doing good. In the morning, she had passed in her sleep, laying in bed next to me. Rest in peace, Lexi. Thank you for 17 years of happiness and friendship.

Sorry for your loss. RIP little one.
As someone who’s recently lost a furry one I will say enjoy the big dog. Irish wolfhound? I’ve spent a lot of time with my Australian Shepherd since loosing my Tommy. For some reason it helps with not dwelling on the loss.

Sorry to hear the bad news. 17 years is a good long life, glad she was there to enrich your life for that long. It’s always a hard loss

My two old guys got detailed today but poor Clyde is having horrible breathing like he is overheating and limping and breathing like he had a stroke. It’s only 70 in the house. Hopefully tomorrow he snaps out of it. It has happened before just not this bad.

Ears down, tail down, panting are all signs of stress if the dog hasn’t exerted itself.

Unless the limp is from fresh trauma, stress is probably from something else.

Get a cheapo thermometer at Walgreens and check his temp (rectal).

His temp is good, ears were in submission as he was just getting good attention. Breathing calmed down and he is sleeping now. He doesn’t stress himself, he loves the vet and the groomers. Just weird today. I have no clue about the limp as I didn’t see anything happen, unless he just payed wrong. He could be feeding off my wife freaking out. That’s why I hope tomorrow is a better day and he snaps out of it. Thanks for the response!
