So today was literally the first chance I’ve had to shake the car down on the street. Let’s say this....we’ve got ourselves a handful. I’ve owned some fast cars in my life. This little coupe is just dumb. A LOT of suspension/chassis work needed to get this thing to compete with the GTR’s out there though. 50% throttle was all it could put to the street without hazing the Hoosiers

I can’t wait to see the progress.

Hell yeah brother! Enjoying the first ride is one of the best parts. Next up is testing the line lock in front of some young impressionable neighbor kids. Gotta show them how it’s supposed to be done :)

Joe, what a perfect number for that car. Plenty of power for the street and the track. Considering how clean the car is you don't want it to look too much like a race car and that is what it would take to make it any stronger than it is now. I am so impressed with the outcome and to know why you did it is makes it even better.
I am happy for you brother, as is everyone else that has been following this.

When you get a chance will you shoot me a pm with a price for the dash that holds the Holley screen?
Notes like this really mean a lot. A sincere thanks to each one of you for taking even a second out of your days to show any support whatsoever

Now we just need it to hold together for a while. Sounds like a ridiculous request given that everything’s new but sometimes I think people fail to realize how much of a fine line these modified cars walk every time they’re driven. A friend of mine that owns a shop once said almost 50% of parts he took right out of the box and put on a race car failed within months of not weeks. I think it’s a ploy to keep us car guys losing our minds and emptying our accounts :D

SO true! The higher the HP level the shorter the longevity of high dollar parts last. Granted the modern stuff last longer with less adjustments (no setting valves). Once you get your suspension done this winter it will feel like you lost 50% of your horsepower, but it will make you a better driver if you put some miles on it while it’s squirrelly.
The fox turned out above and beyond beautiful! I am super excited for you to enjoy the fruits of your labor, and I imagine you will feel a co-pilot once and a while too.

I completely understand. That’s actually why I’ve just been driving the piss out of my car this year instead of going right to the track. I’ll get to enjoy it but also test it and determine which parts last and which systems need to be addressed for my goals with the car. Then I’ll race it and break it later this summer and fall :)
Hopefully we can meet up for a cruise soon!

Cmon man, it’s only been like 90+ without a break.
I’ll give you a ring on the way back from Chicago Thursday night.
