So guys I've got the basic bolt ons now. Tune, cai, exhaust. Had the car for about a month. Still getting used to it I suppose. As far as the launch goes. My tried and true 2500rpm slowly slip the clutch doesn't work in this 2013. It just bogs down and falls on its face. I've tried more rpm's but not much success with that either. How are you guys doing it? Stock tires btw

I’m curious as well. Went to the track a few weeks ago for the first time...launched at 1500 rpm, but still had quite a bit of wheel spin, but I have a VMP supercharger.

Trying to get the hang of how much rpm and feathering the throttle and/or clutch.

Are you shuting off trac assist? Try higher rpm & dump the clutch.

Vic
I kinda forget about the traction assist. I'll try that. These newer cars just seem to hook up better I guess. Keep in mind I'm comparing it to old fox body's.

Bama tuned? Only asking because 2 of my buddies are Bama tuned & this is common for them. I run 3.73 & when n/a clutch dump @ 5500 would work wonders.

Ya its bama tuned. Everyone on here gave me hell for going with those guys but I didn't know any different at the time. Car runs REALLY strong. Man the tune made a difference. That's interesting about the launch deal. There might be something to it. What tires are you running?

Have to shut off the traction control to a good launch or much wheel spin...

mine isn't manual but i would like to share ..

i tried launching all the way from 1.5k rpm to 2.2k rpm .. car dies on 60 ft yet i would still do a flat 12 on the strip and my slicks aren't helping me either .. 28'' tires.

however lately i realized i should be launching on very low RPM 1.1k to 1.2k rpm should do the trick.

So the best launch with 3.31 gears would be around 1,500 rpm in first gear? what about launching in 2nd gear? I have a Roush supercharger, phase 2.

Finding a launch sweet spot will vary from car to car. One that can really help you practice your launches is an inexpensive box called dragy. They are very accurate and far less expensive than something like a vbox. This can help you work on your 60ft 0-30, 0-60 and much more. If you are curious what your car likes this box can help you get accurate data in return for different rpm launches.
