Yeah, interesting question. I noticed over on Hennessey's site that they make conflicting statements.

First, they say "HPE does not plan to offer any performance upgrades for the new Ford GT at this time. It does not happen often but some cars are not meant to be modified. In our humble opinion, the new Ford GT is one of these cars."

Then, just below that statement, they say "Stay tuned for more upgrade information for the 2018 Ford GT powered by the EcoBoost V6 Twin Turbo 3.5L motor. Planned upgrades include: high flow air induction systems, engine management tuning upgrades, high-flow intercooler systems, exhaust system upgrades, twin turbo system upgrades, engine upgrades and more".

Obviously if they were/are offering twin turbo upgrades and engine upgrades, they'd have to offer tune upgrades.

yes, I know these cars are quite expensive but the people who can afford them would be as the same as us buying a GT 350 Ford GT 350 R or maybe a Mustang GT everybody’s Pocket book is different and it’s all relative

did Ford make a computer that couldn’t be hacked ?

Has to do with the overall complexities of the tune. Things like the turbo anti lag. The quotes from Hennessy's website I think speak volumes. He was excited to mess with it, then realized, not so simple.

We'll just have to see what happens going forward. I think some day down the road someone will figure it.

and out of this extremely limited production run the majority of cars will sit in a bubble somewhere likely never being driven in anger stock. Id have to think the number of people willing to tune them would be pretty damned small

The 2020 and newer GT’s received a increase in power to 660hp but the Mark II makes close to 750hp , they run intercooler sprayers and 29 psi of boost .
I know that Multimatic used a road car during development of the calibration for the Mark II , but I agree with the other posts that the complexities of creating a tune out way the potential market .
