This aint a warzone yet. I dont see the point in getting it until things start getting real bad.

If you dont get it now it will be too late. It is available but it's not like you can just go down to any gun store and get it. You can find a cheap vest but it won't have soft armor worth a damn or soft armor at all. Some store carry plates but most of the time they have to be ordered. It's definitely something you want to get way ahead of time

At that point, way to late.

I know a few people who could hook me up on a moments notice if needed. But i'm not spending a ton of money on something i'll most likely never use or need. Good body armor and carriers are into the thousands. Id rather spend that on actual guns or ammo.

If you can get one on the fly then that is good but the way I see it, your guns, armor, and gear are tools and one is no more important than the other. I would never go into a conflict without each tool.

Hope you have a good Tac or riot helmet too, you're more likely to get a brick chucked at your head then you will get shot by a shitbird.

Just throwing that out there too. lol

I do have a Kevlar helmet but I would like to get one of the Crye Precision models instead. They are $$$ though.

Never thought about actual armor systems. Rhodisian and mag carriers sure. But armor?

Unfortunately it's going to be too late until this blows over for armor. If it blows up... well I have to hope I have good hits out of my marksmanship.

I've been trying to stockpile Mk318 Mod1 5.56 rounds. At a dollar a shot... yeah its not cheap. Which is probably why there's still some available.

If someone brings fire, be prepared to supply the fuel.

Body armor is heavy and I’m lazy. I prefer to just lie down and relax too. Why work up a sweat with all of that heavy gear.

Body armor is like a comfort item for me now. I love the feeling of taking it off after a long day in the field but there's something about being in them for long periods of time that makes you feel snug and secure. Even when there are uncomfortable elements of them, like when they rub your hips raw, it's still super comfortable to be in.

But with all these bad ass snipers getting their Burt Gummer elephant guns I'm sure there will be plenty of guns, ammo, and body armor laying around. Headshots only round here, bro lol!

Part of me is thinking "Just like that, huh?" You got to come down off that perch at some point and how do you plan to make it to your next position?

Id prefer the Crye over most other PCs and the L210s weigh about 5lbs each. Very little impedance to mobility.

I posted about this in another thread. If you want the best get TYR, Crye Precision, or Eagle. Crye is what special operations typically uses, TYR is what I have and the carriers range from $500-$1200 but the soft armor can be optioned to handle up to .357 alone. I have a TYR PICO with the .357 rated soft armor and then level 3+ plates. TYR is the middle to high brand and Eagle is good pricing and what the bulk of the military uses. You don't want to go cheap on a kit and especially not plates. You really do get what you pay for and TYR seems to have lowered their prices on a lot of their setups. All three of those brands are modular also which means there are dozens of add-ons that allow you to build it up as you go and add and delete certain features.

I am so glad to see that your LDH is very high. I see a lot of people wear them too low. Also dont forget Spiritus PCs.
