LOL @ there being nothing offensive about Aunt Jemima.......EXCEPT IT'S ORIGINS! lmao.

I couldn't care less either was since I don't use that syrup anyway.

What kind of person looks at the bottle and gets triggered though? To me she looks like the nice black lady from Sesame Street.

Man IDK.

Like I said I never thought twice about it cause it's not my syrup of choice. I'm sure most here know I'm black by now. I follow a lot of pages/people that post about all things black. I never seen anyone complain about this, only people posting about the origin of the name/image, AFTER Quaker announced themselves, that they're changing the name/logo. Seems to me Quaker decided to be Proactive and not reactive.

Who I picture is someone geeky like the guy from Office Space (listening to rap and then rolls up the window when the black guy walks by with flowers) sitting in an office in Parts Unknown and addressing a non existing problem and the rest of the geeks go for it and pat each other on the back. Part of me hopes to heck that most people don't care about the mascot and that it is just more virtue signaling and if this fictional woman is conveying the incorrect and wrong message, yes, that is on Quaker Oats to do a better job.

What gravely concerns me is how the bottle A.J. I have in the fridge is over three years old and still tastes like it did when freshly opened. That is scary.

Wait what? Lol just kidding ...known for years

Serious part:
If Quaker had made the decision a handful of years ago I'd call it proactive...but since they just did id call it reactive

Problem is that its reactive to a climate their marketing is telling their decision makers is real.

I'd wager that only a SMALL amount of the US population has issue with A.J. as Quaker thought.

Id say that the real tragedy is that a good product (not my personal fav, but not bad either) that features a wonderful Black American woman happy as **** to make your food more delicious has been essentially canceled.

LMAO!

Wonder what that lady is up to now

LOL she disappeared with the quickness, got whites and blacks wanting to kick her ass....she actually got charged with prejury and felony theft in a welfare fraud case, think she basically got away with it, entered a diversion program.

Did they tear down the Lenin statue yet?

Nope, he is still standing tall in Freemont about 3 miles from downtown Seattle and he hasn't even been the topic of discussion. He would honestly be a good target for a truck and a chain and go drag his ass through CHAZ while wiping out a few idiots on the street.
