just wait a little and get the c8 .....c8 is going to trump all with a SC or TT

This is what I did. After considering 2020 GT500, 19-20 GT350R, looked at C7 GS and C7 Z (awesome deals were available on the C7's)...I just could NOT get that mid-engine layout of the C8 out of my head.

I am hoping to get the order completed by end of JULY with a early 2021 delivery (that is being optimistic I know) 1LT with a few options (Z51 being a must) with plans on adding boost down the road. (let everyone figure out the best method, etc)

We scca raced a 15 z06 for 2 years when they first came out. Very quick car, reliable, but we went through tires. Car was comfortable! Paint protection film was a must anywhere the sticky tires would throw rocks. The car will make you think you are a GREAT driver, until you get into a non computer controlled car and you get humbled again. It’s not a bad choice as it’s crossed my mind once or 3 times to do the same

I love the C7Zs. The only thing that gives me hesitation is the tiny blower they put on these. I would want to do a procharger and fuel system out of the gate.

I’ll say this, it’s loud as ****! And it’s way quicker than I thought it would be. This car is absolutely next level.

The place I’m going for a tune tells me that X pipe, headers, lower pulley, tune and a 5” intake will give me nearly 140 mph trap speed. That’s enough for now.

I've been on the fence about buying one and maybe selling my CTS-V. But there is something I just hate about the exterior and the interior. I keep going back to 2013 + viper but I know the Vette is an easier car to put miles on and maintain. Don't really care about how moddable either car is. Over 500 horsepower on the street is about ****ing useless 6 months out of the year.

That is sick! Congratulations! That is one hell of a (good looking) ride.

I don’t really care for the base C7s. To me something just doesn’t look right.

Having said that, Grand Sports and Z06 models always look amazing when they’re appropriate from the opposite direction.

I’ve said it before, but if Ford had a 2 seater direct competitor that could be had for less than 400,000 dollars (05/06 or new) I’d be in one instead of the Shelby.

A close 2nd would be a Callaway 627 SC C7

in fact the performance is better as the S/C is bigger and it is actually exposed for even more air to cool it, unlike the mini spinner that is under the hood.

Or if you see a Cally 757 SC Z06 that one has everything the 627 has except with the Z06 stuff of what ever the owner ordered when bought. So some has the 07 suspension and brakes and others don't. That is if you see them as other than my dads I only seen a red 757 at an all Corvette show.

Tough but fair. I know the C7Zs will lose 100 hp like that if you run them hard on the dyno. C6Zs will pull on C7Zs when if they are hot. Still the LT4 is a MONSTER and if you fix blower/cooling/fueling they are tough to beat.
