It is true, what I calculated was 50% but there are many sources stating they are using 60% of the county budget.

That’s a ton of money to spend! The opposite happened here, the people in the downtown area determined the outcome of the last election, very blue area and the suburbs mainly are Republicans.

That’s what it is here, last year the budget was over 500 million dollars and from what I read the total county budget was 1.05 million or so. I am not sure where the resources are saying they spend 60% of the budget but it wouldn’t surprise me if they pulled money from other departments in the county to pay for school.

Good luck. It seems the only way to get elected is to tow the controlling party's line. Unless you have millions, you need the help from whichever party you are running for in terms of monetary backing, which means if youre republican you have to tow the ultra religiotard, anti-abortion talking points, if youre democrat it means you need to constantly one-up your other running mates on your stances to get a bigger piece of the donation pie.

I'll one up it with the Dems going full blown scorched earth and saying they don't need no law enforcement. More and more independents and moderate Dems are going to flee the party in droves. And I do mean droves. So can't wait until they sit there shocked wondering what happen come Nov.

I'm too middle of the road politically. Im middle right .I don't think there has been a time in history where the left and right have been further apart. Aside from the stimulus when was the last time there was anything passed in a bipartisan manner. I feel like it's probably been at least 15 years.

The left are downright scary with some of their thoughts and how hypocritical they are. How some of these people are getting into office is what really confuses me.

I can't speak for all but the dems I do know, only seem to care about societal issues rather than the country as a whole. Its a party that runs on emotions.

All I know is that 40% is actually wasted on professionals that make over $100k a year sitting down listening in iep meetings.

Well looking at how run down the schools are and how many no longer graduate i dont see how 60% is spent on schools.

I used to work for the city and was involved in every meeting they had as an outside observer. It was an absolute shit show.

The best way to put it is to imagine the dumbest loser you can think of and they're in their living room peering through the blinds and reporting every little action to the police. This person, let's call him Karen, lives for conspiracy theories and every little thing that happens is the end is the world. Their idea of an exciting night on the town is to spend six hours sitting through your council meetings as an audience member. In their eyes the world literally revolves around them. This is your elected representative. As they progress through their career their sense of self importance, righteousness, and ego only gets worse.

Politics is for the literal worst of humanity. You'll get rich doing it though

I don't think she would be eligible would she? There are rules that candidates have to follow and that means meeting deadlines to even put yourself down as a candidate which we know she hasn't done unless they somehow did it in secret which it wouldn't surprise me, but I would imagine that is illegal.
