Hey guys,
I have an opportunity to pick up a 2019 Z06. Anybody in here able to provide their thoughts on Z06 ownership?

I’ve had 2 C7’s, one grand sport and a Z and I loved them both
I ceramic coated both for protection, lowered using the stock bolts, and added the GM splash guards. The C7 is a great platform and the Z is great car
With that said I had problems with both
My grand sport had a heater cord leak at 1400 miles and was a nightmare of a repair( I was a gm tech at the time so I did the work). I traded it in at 5000 miles and it came back to the dealer at 7500 miles with the torque converter problem
I traded for a leftover Z at a hell of a deal and it developed torque tube noise at 5400 miles so I got rid of it and went to the GT350, tough choice but I just did not want problems anymore

The only common problems I've seen is the factory wheels have a habit of cracking. There are some shudder issues reported with the automatic, but hopefully you're going manual.

Do it!!

Best car I've ever owned. Makes power easy. Some people complain about overheating, I've never seen it and I live in S. Louisiana. I've driven on track too and still never experienced it.

e85, lower pulley, meth, headers, and cam and I went 10.1 @ 139 with a 1.80 60 foot. Didn't help that it was 100*
Around 730 rwhp

CAI only I went 10.9 @ 126 on stock tires. Weather was cool.

Honestly, you really can't go wrong buying any C5, C6, C7, or C8

LT1 and LT4 C4s are cool too.

124 trap for the cars stock to me seems slow by today’s standards. Mid 130’s is beginners grade these days.
We can’t get E85 in Ontario and
A cam is a major mod, a bit more than I want to tackle at this time.
I’m thinking lower pulley, tune, cold air and maybe meth. 135 trap then, or still need more mods?

I love mine. Never been to the track but it's plenty fast and looks amazing. Work gets in the way too much but I still enjoy it when I get to get awya. Cruising with the top off is badass. If you can get a good deal on one I'd say pull the trigger.

Let us know if you pull the trigger, and post some more photos. I think you'll love a C7 Z06. So yeah, if the deal is right, do it!
