Kbb and nada do not offer options for private party sales of saleen mustangs

I've come across a 2005 saleen n/a with a procharger. 51k miles. Asking 23,750. Is this reasonable or too much? Going to see it over the weekend most likely.

Hopefully the link to it works on FB marketplace. Also on Letgo.

Thanks for any help!

Roush and Saleen are post title and are not reflected in KBB. That is a major downside to them. Banks, insurance companies and trade in dealers typically do not give them additional valuation above a loaded GT.

I think the saleen You mentioned is over priced. You could get an 07 Shelby with similar miles for a similar price. I would be concerned about part replacement if you needed something in the future. I would investigate the company financials before you buy a saleen. I will let you arrive at your own conclusion.

This. Its always been my understanding that they are terrible for resale because they are not valued any different than a GT..

You really just have to watch the market for a while and see what kind of money they bring. That doesn't necessarily set the market, but it really helps.

I'm sure you have joined all of the Saleen FB groups? I would start by asking for opinions there also.

I picked up 86-0177 last year and feel I over paid a little, but I wanted it, and how often do you see of them for sale...

This. I've always felt the cars were over priced to begin with.

Part availability is huge problem on those cars. Roush is in the same boat.
