I have a 03 torch red vert. I installed the H&R sport springs last night. Says it is a 1.5” drop. It absolute slammed the car. It only has a few inches clearance. I scraped a little transition in the road tonight. Did I do something wrong? Why did it go so low.... I did leave out the upper isolators. They didn’t seem that big. That couldn’t be the reason. Let me know please

Sport springs slam the car. The race springs are the 1.5" drop. The ISO's are worth about 1/2" too. Can add poly ISO's, they are even a little thicker.

Depending on how crappy your roads, you may scrap on the center a lot. Need to learn how to watch the road when driving a lowered car.

The description said 1.5” and that they were made for the vert which is why I chose them. I’ve drive. Lowered cars before. Just seemed off that I hit the ground coming off the interstate. Was wondering if I did something wrong.

This has been a thing since 2003. I had same issue then and switched to Race, which solved my clearance problem. Most have the same frustration.

I don’t understand why the description said 1.5 but it actually drops it much more. I chose the sport springs because they are made for the vert.

Looks good! if its to low id say put the ISOS in. My car doing 75-80 mph on the freeway would hit a small dip and scrape my tires (305-35-18 R888), put lower ISO no more scraping. I can fit 2 fingers between rear fender and tire.

I think I’m going to put the upper ISO’s on the front. The back seems fine.... I’ll do it sometime this week. The front shouldn’t take but a hour to do

H&R SS on mine. I left both Iso. In, only scraped once. Yes they are low! As stated before, you have two options. Put all Iso. Back in, or use the Race springs. Been an "issue" for ever on here. If you did a little digging before you picked up your springs, you would have been informed. But it's all good, you got options!

I did a lot of digging. Looked at photos. I thought removing the upper ISO’s were the right choice. Ended up being too low. I actually took it back apart and put the upper ISO’s on the front. It sits perfect. Rides great. I learned about the car and I can do a set of springs in less than 2 hours now. Not a bad job at all
