This past weekend I spent some time out at Heartland Park in Topeka, KS. The weather was perfect, competition was good and I even had my wife and one year old out with me for a few hours on Sunday.

I'm FAR from a track junkie or expect. I do some track days for fun! This was my first outing this year, and luckily very few vehicles were hurt during the weekend. I was still trying to get my balls underneath me again.

My personal best up until this weekend was a 1:49.8, and I was able to crush it yesterday. I ran two 1:46s (.3 and .6) back to back...on worn out tires. Going to snag some new ones this week and get ready for the next trip. With better tires I'll be able to be more aggressive on the curbing and hopefully scoot down in the <1:45 range.

Sorry for the shaky camera, one of my screws for my camera wasn't tightened down all the way and didn't realize it until I was home last night.

You're getting much quicker lol.

You're doing 20 mph faster over alpha 0 than I was in the blue car.

The crazy thing is, I need to hold it down just a tad longer and not be such a bitch. I can carry another 6-8mph through one and two.

I'm going to work on braking later and harder instead of easing in to it. Watching a video from a '19 ZR1 from yesterday running a 1:44, I've got him beat in 8 corners...but he just gets me on the front and rear straight.

That's Dan Gordon's video, right? Notice he stays right for about 2 carlengths longer before turning into T2. That is the secret sauce because it gives you a way better acceleration run all the way to 3. Once I learned that I was straight murdering cars with way more power through there.

Yes, that's exactly what I've found haha

I need to quit being a lazy ass on Saturday nights, and go ahead and go through video then, instead of waiting until the end of the weekend to catch little mistakes.

Awesome video... looks like tons of fun. What's done to the car and what tires are you running?

Is that the viper ?

Yes sir.

Awesome video... looks like tons of fun. What's done to the car and what tires are you running?

Gen V intake, UD Pulley, headers back, Arrow Tune, 3.55 gears... those are probably the main things. Then just lightened it up! Weighs 3500 full of fuel with me (230#) in it.

Congrats on beating your PB and the Viper ACR is badass

Thank you. I absolutely love the car. I won't sell it. Planning on heads/cam this winter or spring to give it some more pull. But in reality, I can be extremely competitive in TT1 by just upgrading my balls.

You know a vasectomy or good prostate removal should give you much bigger balls for a short period of time to try out. Truth is they are just for display purposes only and would certainly interfere with staying on the gas further into the corner. Now the Narco you get to go home with, that's a different matter. Sadly, you have to be older to know these things.
PS, love the viper

Congrats on your new PB, Nick. With more practice and experience will come more confidence to push the limits. You're doing really well, so you'll undoubtedly see more PBs in the future.
