Going to give this a try when I install a VMP TVS on my '14 A6 vert. Ford Racing M-20201-C for '07-'09 GT 500. Here's a link to a URL that has the best price I've found so far with free shipping, $143.99:

I'll post how it goes...

I will be interested in how this goes for you.

I have a 2011 GT convertible with a (I presume) stock strut brace and am planning on a VMP kit. I would like to know what fits.

07-09 GT500 from ford racing fits great in my 13 vmp gen 2.

Hate to bring up an old thread buttttt... I just put the FRPP GT500 bar on my 14 Roush and it fits over the blower, but the hood absolutely will not close by at least 3/8-1/2". So how anybody is using it I don't know. The only way it would work is to shim up the hood (which would look like crap), or cut out the hood maybe under the fake scoop. Wish it would work because it's beefy and looks great.

Just a heads up. If you have issues finding one that fits, I wouldn't sweat it too much. These strut tower bars do little, if anything, for performance on this year of Mustang.

Replied to this yesterday, but don't know what happened to it...

I'm sure it doesn't do much unless you're doing some really hard cornering, but my Stage 3 will do the hard cornering if you want it to...
I like the looks of the bar anyway.

I have the one that mackdog2008 has. I have no idea how he's getting his hood to close, because mine will absolutely not close at all.

I've found that it's hitting on the driver's side heat extractor vent big time... because the vent protrudes down through the hood. If you force the hood closed it could break the plastic vent, or even bend the hood. I took the vent out and I could see exactly where it was hitting. Will post pics if I get a chance.

Toying with the idea of building some low-profile reverse scoops to fit the vent openings on top of the hood, and allow the hood to close normally.

2007-2009 gt500 KR strut tower brace fit on my 2012. Bought it after reading it fit and most have no issue with it. I noticed on my car the passenger side of the hood was slightly raised after the install (maybe 1/8"-1/4"). My service guy took down the hood liner and cut a "channel" in the under hood structure to accommodate the STB and it closes without any issues now. I also put a piece of the soft side of Velcro on the underside of it above the JLT CAI.

Mine fits as well. Love this thing. Too bad I sold the TVS. Now it's just sitting in the garage. :/

So I got the 07-09 stock GT500 STB. The heat extractor vents still hit on both sides. I'm going to make some different vents that sit flush, or get a GT500 hood. Would rather keep the GT hood though.

NOPE! I now have the stock 07-09 GT500 strut bar, as well as the GT500 Ford Racing strut bar, and neither one works... It's the heat extractor vents causing the problem. 10-12 hoods don't have the vents so that's a completely different story. The one I haven't tried yet is the Boss 302 brace. It works on the 13 Boss, but I haven't seen it on a Roush/VMP charged car yet.

I picked up a used 07-09 stock GT500 strut tower brace off Ebay and installed it on my 2013 which has the FRPP 624hp supercharger kit (2.3L Whipple w/ M-6066-MGT624D) and went as far to put all-purpose flour on the bar to see where it would touch the hood or hood vents when closed. You can see the first photo where the flour barely contacts the stock hood liner. I found no interference with the hood vents and no issues closing the hood. Second photo was to show I cleaned it up in case anyone was wondering if I was driving around with flour under the hood.

Wow, I didn't realize the problem was the hood-vents on the 13-14 that caused the problem. My 2014 GT has a GT500 hood anyway. I've been stressing all this for nothing. I'll be installing one like @G1GGDIDY has in a week or so.

Sadly the 07-09 OEM GT500 brace didn't work for me. In my case it's the CAI tube that it won't clear. I tries to crush it down about 3/4" when installing. It clears the blower and the hood though.

Back to the drawing board. I'm about to go searching for a fabricator to just build me something.

Even if you shim it a little with washers?
