Just installed new rotors and pads on the GT500. While researching bolt torques, i found that the 4 caliper bolts are torque to yield at 85 ft lbs.

I'm not quite comfortable installing the old bolts back with loctite for the longterm. As these are crucial parts to, well, stop the car, I don't want to buy weak hardware.

I found the link below, but the MPN is for 2015 or newer.

Anyone have a recommendation on which bolts to pick up, or a Ford PN?

Almost every bolt Ford uses is a one-time-use fastener, which isn't the same thing as torque to yield. I have had my calipers on and off several times and I'm still using the same bolts. These are not undersized bolts regardless of the light weight material. If you want new bolts, just use the originals until you can get your hands on the bolts. The Ford part number is W710233-S439.

I concur. I have had my front calipers off 3 times in the last 18 months or so. 20k miles on the car in that time. Bolts are never loose when I have gone in to remove. I doubt that has changed from my model year to yours.

I shouldn't believe everything I read online. I'm guessing they recommend replacement, as they come with a thread locking compound preapplied.

New ones are cheap enough though.

Thank you for your time
