Need Exhaust Help

Some dumb moron backed into my wife’s 03 Cobra, the insurance will pay for the bumper, but it only needs the tailpipes replaced! But they cannot nor can I find just 3 inch tailpipes, without buying a whole new cat back! Thank you all in advance

Did the insurance say they will only pay for the bumper? Seems odd that they won't pay for the exhaust since it was damaged during the incident. I would find a good exhaust shop to see what they can do

They won’t pay for a full cat back since the only thing that was damaged was the tailpipes, I know Straight Axels you can buy just 3 inch tailpipes didn’t know if any company does that for the IRS

Can u buy tips for straight axels and use them on IRS?

With all due respect, I just did a quick search at summit racing and it produced 72 pages of parts. I’m confident you could find something you like there

I have checked and no one has just tailpipes for the IRS like they do the straight axel. Was just wondering if anyone knows of any companies that just sell the 3 inch tailpipes instead of buying a whole new borla Atak catback

I gotcha. I still think you’ll be able to find something that will work for your setup. The car I bought has something similar. It looks like they kept the stock piping and welded on new tips. Probably to save $ on a cat back I’d assume. I can send you a pic if you’d like for a reference. Try MBRP. They might have something that works for you.

I just spent 10 minutes looking through what Summit has for exhaust tips. I don’t know why, but I did. Trust me, you’ll find something that will work.
