i have been a huge fan of the 04 cobra for as long as i can remember and i found one for about 17k i was considering this because its kind of affordable and its from a dealer so i would be able to make payments instead of dropping cash that i do not have it's stock one owner no upgrades whatsoever the only problem i think is that it has 129k miles on her

if i do get it it will be my daily im wondering how long till the engine gives or should i just keep looking and come back to my dream later on in life

thanks for taking the time and helping out

If it truly is a one owner car from a Ford dealership, you should be able to get service records on the car.
As long as it’s a straight body with a clean title with no mods, I think you should get it, but start budgeting for an engine refresh/rebuild.

Compression and leak down test would also help. I’ve been quoted 300-600. I know it’s more money to spend but for peace of mind.

I’ll be the odd man out. As much as I love my terminator I couldn’t and wouldn’t want to daily drive it that’s jmho. 129k if taken care of could last one member here has over 400k on his. That said at minimum compression and leak down test.

Takes balls to daily a terminator, I say offer them 15.5k because of the mileages and if they take it don’t look back.

For the price doesn’t seem that bad of a deal. The rust on the inside of the rims is a little concerning. Check all of it thoroughly.

Looks to be in good shape for 130K miles. I only see a Steeda intake mod. $15.5K sounds like a fair offer, as @ur bittn suggested.

That drivers seat is amazing and borderline unbelievable for 129k miles. To me that’s a sign of enthusiast owners.
If that car was local I’d probably go drive in and have every intention of buying if it drives well.
I also bought a black on black ‘04 so I’d enjoy the sentiment :)

Car seems like a reasonable deal for the condition. I do share the sentiment that the one owner history should make it easy to figure out how the car was taken care of its whole life. I wouldn't let the >100k mileage scare you away if it was well taken care of.

Not sure how I'd feel about dailying it though but that might depend on how traffic/roads are where you live. I never considered doing so since half my work commute is bumper/bumper traffic and the clutch is heavy enough to be an annoyance at stop/go speeds. Also gas is cheap(er) now but in the future......... :/

I'm pretty sure my buddy was just looking at that car and when he reached out he was told it was sold. Unless another dealer bought it.
