Uhhhhhh....I have a fully optioned 19 lariat special edition and one of my brothers has a fully optioned 19 raptor. Have another brother with a maxed out Tacoma. The Tacoma is not anywhere near in the same ballpark regarding options, interior quality, etc. not even remotely close. It is a nice truck for what it is though. Bad comparison.
My Fiesta ST had nav(not available on the $50k 150 stx), one touch open(not available on the $70k 250 xlt), push start (not available on the before mentioned 250 xlt). LED DRL are standard on many vehicles $30k and up yet you can’t get them as a option on the $70k xlt 250.
A 35K Tacoma will get you about the same level of tech and standard equipment as a 302A XLT. They'll be pretty close in price too.
302a xlt what? The 250 xlt only has an option for nav but you can’t get anything else. No led, one touch, or push start.

Was referencing a Tacoma vs a 70k optioned f150. No experience with any of the other stuff. 502a,802a packages are quite nice. Not close in comparison to an optioned Tacoma. Everything should have led lights at this point. No argument from me there. Also hard to compare a truck to a car. Price point doesn’t really match up. Especially since one option (6.7 diesel) In the f250 is one third of a fiesta st total cost. Lol. I just think truck to truck the f150 compares well. All overpriced.

I’m just saying basic convenient items are not available on Ford trucks that cost up to $70k. These conveniences are all on my tacoma at $38k msrp.

I was referring to a 150 xlt, not 250. 38K will get you a pretty basic TRD Tacoma. For 38K on a Tacoma (unless its a 20) you're not getting remote start, heated seats, car play, rear window defroster or auto headlights.

You get all of that on a 302A F150. But the Tacoma will likely get you smart entry, push-start and radar cruise. Pretty much a wash but I'd take remote start over smart entry living in a cold climate.

Lower it, knock off two doors, make it awd and put the turbo raptor motor in it...then you can call it the thunder and lightning because it would be all that

The 150 STX does not have nav, one touch doors, LED day running lights, push button start. The stx 150 can run $50k msrp and non of the features I listed are available. Yet everyone is available on the Tacoma at $38k msrp. This is my point!

And the Tacoma is missing some stuff the 150 would have... and is way behind in the powertrain department. I know the exact differences. I went from a 15 XLT 302A (3.5 ecoboost) to a 19 TRD OR.

Then the question is what do you want? I clearly think its a pain to pull your key out of the pocket to open and start your vehicle. Very much like the difference between hand roll windows and power windows. If Im spending $40k+ on a vehicle I don't want to mess with my pockets or keys.

Yes I understand its a work truck, but how many work truck today come with hand roll windows?

I owned a new late 80s Ranger and liked it. I want to like the new Ranger, but just don’t like the look no matter how much I try.......

A $48k optioned lariat f150 has all those things. Makes no sense to upfit the lesser stx. And that’s with 502a package. Getting a lot more capable truck for $10k more. Again, I like both but the comparison just isn’t there. If you don’t need the room or towing, the Tacoma is a great option. But to say it costs $70k to get an f150 optioned like your Tacoma is quite incorrect.

Huh? Msrp for a crew 4x4 lariat 150 502a with nav is $57k. Direct from ford website.

Sorry. Didn’t have 4x4. So $52,400. The cab is way roomier than a Tacoma, the crew light years ahead in room. To me $14k is a no brainer. The vehicles are not cross shopped in most cases. The ranger and Tacoma yes. Where as the Tacoma is a better buy. The Tacoma and ranger can’t do the things an f150 can and there is a premium you pay for that. That’s all I was saying. For my family and activities, a mid size truck was never even considered. And most people fit that scenario. If the Tacoma or ranger had 800hp and laid out on the inside like a Bentley and cost $41k, it still wouldn’t have worked for me. If that doesn’t make sense, then I have nothing else to offer to this conversation. Was only making a casual statement/observation.

I’m not saying the are cross shopped. I’m also speaking of msrp pricing so everything is relative.
To purchase a 50k stx or xlt 150 and not have features that are available on the $25k fiesta st? Today they are basic cheap and super convenient that should be on all vehicles $20k and up or at very least optional.

I would love a 150 for $40k or Tremor for $50k but these basic features are not available. Which will lead me to purchase something non Ford. That’s a shame.

As mentioned above... Mopar has everyone beat right now, by a long shot.

This and who pays 50K for an STX lmfao. Ford discounts XLT 302A packages way cheaper than that and it’s a better bang for the buck. I also wouldn’t compare a Tacoma to a F150 lol. Ram is taking them all to the cleaners right now. That’s why Ford is redesigning the F150 a year earlier.
