I heard this rumor in the press a while back. Anybody know the latest? Supposedly to defend against the Ram with the Hellcat motor?

Ford loves their tiny motors with lots of boost, so I'll be surprised if they do it.

Doubt it. My guess is the 3.0 hybrid from the Aviator or a hybrid using a similar version of the current 3.5. Ford is for sure going to want to show off what it can do with electric so what better vehicle than the Raptor.

Ironic that the streets say loud and clear that boosted Coyotes are the King of the Ford heap at the moment. Or that owners want the Godzilla in their best off roader. Of course, that makes too much sense: give your customers what they want.

Originally it was going to happen. But with Fords financial situation. Who knows.

Well Ford has a card to play here because an article on Fox News confirmed that in Argentina they found fossils of the largest Raptor known to exist called the Megaraptor, standing at 33ft long and weighing up to 2200lbs with 14in claws. Ford needs to use this and come out with an F150 Megaraptor.
Company already makes them from a F250.

Can you imagine what it'll cost if they do grow some nuts and do it? A loaded Raptor is already a 75k truck.

I'd like my 7.3L engine and my 4.30 gears from my F250 Tremor in a Raptor.

After all the headaches I had with my 2018 Raptor, I'll never buy another EcoBoost engine.

I doubt it. The Gen 2 showed people will buy a Raptor with ADM a v6.

Ford is pimping electric energy next. They invested half a billion into rivian's electric truck company. My guess is they'll rock the ecoboost in their flagship truck till electric is available/accessible.

Would love to see it, but not betting on it. They could of thrown a detuned supercharged 5.0 in the Gen 2 if they wanted to. Instead went with the 3.5TT.

Besides, the Raptor in it's intended purpose doesn't need 700+ HP to go offroading. The Gen 1 Raptor has plenty of power for offroading.

It needs better brakes and suspension to use up stock current power levels.
