Well my dream has finally come true and I was able to get my hands on a set of Hood Vents from Steve.
I am so stoked!
Thanks again Steve for making this small dream come true!

Attached is an install video for anyone else lucky enough to get one of the last sets in existence.

lol, o that was you on FB....
Nice

Yep thats me. lol. I havent been on facebook for like 8 months. I just got back on because people driving me nuts for vinyl stickers so I got my page going again.

Congrats, notice a difference in temps?

I havent gotten the car out yet. I have it apart as shown in that vid for a plug change and some other maintenance. From my small testing with the vents completely out I think its gonna be a wash while moving. Its the stagnant at stop I think its gonna help.
We shall see though. This is why I chose the open mesh instead of the smaller round hole version he had.

Awesome that you scored a set. I know that Steve has been clearing out his remaining inventory. Post a photo of them installed.

Very Cool!!!!!

I was stoked watching your video.............and I have a Super Snake hood!!

The 2007-2009 oem GT500 hood is such a cool design and adding those rare TF vents is the "Cherry on top".

I have a 40th sales document from Shelby and it specifically shows the 40th hood vent upgrade on the back side of the 2-sided brochure......They look different than the TF's you installed. Not sure if they sourced to multiple vendors.......I don't really know....I like the look of your TF's better.

Thanks Robert! That means alot coming from you. I considered an SS hood, but I dont want to have to deal with paint and new stripes.
So those 40th ones from Shelby as I understand it were sourced by Trufiber I think I was told. There was another brand called Raceskinz again all havent been made in quite awhile.
It was a task getting a hold of these!

PS: I appreciate the views and support. It means alot!

Yes, Raceskinz did some items for Shelby also, I have talked with Mike at Raceskinz on a couple of different occasions. I know they did the Super Snake stripes and I believe the CF splitter and rockers, they also offered (not sure if they still do), a CF lower rear valance cover to complete the CF lower look, but I am not sure what else they made for Shelby. <<<They may have done the CF mirror caps also, not sure.

I'm sure those TF's were hard to find, you mentioned 1.5 years......That is a looooong search. I am glad you found them, they look Very Cool!!

It is those small detail items that bump a car over the top.

I had no idea Raceskinz made that much stuff. That was before my time in here. Interesting to know though. Did they just switch to S550 stuff? I think that and vinyl is all I saw on their site last I checked.
You are right, its all about the small details. I had about 4-5 pieces of unobtanium on my SN95 that really made people go nuts when they saw it and I am trying to do the same with this car as I can.

I have not checked into Raceskinz recently. I am not sure what they are doing. It seemed like they had slowed a few years ago.

When I was into the SN95's the hardest parts that I finally located were complete spare Hardtops and all associated pieces for my two 1995 Cobra's with the Removable Hardtop option......Finding spare parts, especially complete roofs and the parts specific to that 499 car build was Really hard!! But, when I sold those two 2-Tops, the spare parts were easy to sell.....even the complete 90lb. hardtops. I still get PM's from time to time asking if I have anymore 2-Top stuff.....

It seems so long ago since I owned those two cars......

^^^^Note, the rear 1/4 windows roll down on the 2-Top cars.....

Yea people still go nuts over those tops. I used to see posts daily on FB groups about them.
Beautiful cars!

^^^^^But they are heavy with the top on...............and they still don't bring good money, but neither does the 95R in comparison to the 93R and 00R's.

Yea people don't seem to fetch any money for the 95R. There was a local one with decently low mileage. I want to say like 15K maybe and was asking like $20k and had no bites. It had that aweful tan base model seats though. lol

The tops themselves people get like $1500 for, but the car itself goes for regular old Cobra vert prices from what I see. IMHO the car isnt all that special.

Just low build numbers on them and SVT was offering some pretty cool stuff during the 1993-2004 time period. It is pretty cool to own a Mustang that had the removable hardtop, one year only. A lot of people don't even know about them, it seems like the SN95's overall still have not taken off in price, but I like them.

...............and yes, "the cheap seats", I had #108/250, they were V6 feeling, sitting in them.

I sent you a PM.

The GT seats were bad enough, but to throw those in their "unicorn" car was kind of silly at the time. Not sure why they didnt just do Recaro's like the other flagships got. lol

Very cool cars though. I find myself missing my SN95 greatly compared to my GT500. I caught way more compliments in it!
