Fresh rebuild. New Mahle pistons. New McCloud RST, boundary billet oil gears, Stewart h2o pump, billet sensioners, head cooling mod, ATI damper, basically everything else one would do when engine is out. Almost done!

Easiest in the app. Sometimes they are large even when resized but definitely easy

Took it out for a spin to try out new MGW shifter, at-home front toe alignment, plus some other fixes made over the past couple months. Now back in the shop for new exhaust manifold gaskets since the JBA mid-lengths don't like the stock steel gaskets. After that it will be time for a trip to alignment shop and fab shop to have gutted cats replaced with 3" x 12" resonators.

Me either.... I'm in IL... I warm up the garage with a propane heater. Usual put cut up card board boxes on the ground to make it more comfortable.
I can't mod in the winter currently. I live in Minnesota and have a non insulated nor heated garage.

What are the details for the projector retro, they look nice!!!
Well not sure why that pic was upside down lol...I'll post a few more of the retro install.

Look for the foam square tiles to lay down they provide a air barrier vs the cardboard which can get wet and or are usually thin.

You can find the square tiles at Lowes and walmart and they are pretty cheap.

My Retro Fit.
Watched alot of videos on doing this so I do reccomend doing the same and call the HID supplier for any questions, diagrams etc before starting.
Get some good oven mitts, And good spray paint, painter's tape, and a small exacto knife.
I bought housing and lights from the web.
Bought The Retro fit source HIDs, Bought different shells for bulbs which there are alot of different looks , harness, and all wires.
Baked the new housing per instructions.
Opened them up and took out all the guts.
Primed all the parts I was painting.
Ran my wiring inside small drilling required.
Painted the parts and did a pre install fit to make sure everything was tight.
Wired up the Harnesses, connections to battery and light switch.
Checked on the wall about 20 feet away from a garage and marked where the car was so I could align again on the new bulbs.
Baked the new light in with new gaskets.
Getting the old gasket out was tediously done lol. It took about a day to do.
Enjoy ...
Sorry this was not supposed to be any kind of write up but if anyone has any questions please feel free to message me.

It was just a quick and dirty job to get the wheels pointed somewhat the same direction so I can drive it to a real alignment shop. I used string stretched tight across both wheels on each side using the rear wheels as a reference. This of course only works if your rear toe is aligned since we have independent rear suspension. It got the fronts close enough.

I remember those days! I was fortunate enough to purchase a house two years ago that has an attached 2-car plus another 1.5-1.75 single stall. All heated AND air conditioned with a floor drain. Drywalled, insulated, and new garage doors that seal really well. It can be 12 degrees outside and I'll be sweating inside the garage. It's glorious. lol

Very nice, if tedious, retro-fit work. Post a couple of pics after the installation.

Added an Android radio to the Cobra and loaded up the Torque Pro. Has GPS and adding the rear camera later.

Did you retain the rest of the factory Mach 460 system or replace it too?
I'm wanting to switch to an Android stereo myself since it will display everything from my MS3 PnP ECU.
Curious how the sound is with the factory Mach 460 sub/speaker/amp system.
Thanks
Ken

Ironic that you asked me that. I've ALWAYS been a huge proponent of gutting the system if replacing the head unit, but this particular one has a really nice tuning mechanism. It still sounds like ass compared to a custom system, but good enough for a car that is a weekend player for speed.

I used the typical Metra harness for the 2003 and just used the sub output to power the Mach 460 amps. Turn the amp option on in the sound interface and turn the loud option off, tuned the frequencies and it's decent. Same as stock, I'd say.

The biggest gripe I have about the radio is the ability to only connect to one BT device at a time. I like being able to stream from my phone or even make a phone call if I have to, so I'm ordering a USB OBD2 and hoping it will work. We'll see how that goes. The GPS works well and uses Google Maps, but I figure I'll just use my phone if I ever need to map something in the car. I was thinking the GPS would help with stuff like automatic volume, etc, etc. Still have to tinker with that stuff. It has a nice wifi antenna that has a good range. Oh...the clock. I can't get the clock to stay set. Keeps resetting to the correct time, but GMT, not adjusting to my location or even staying set with a manual setting.

Keep in mind, this is my first ever Android device and the interface and firmware are custom for this company. It comes with a backup camera, which I'm not using. I'm either doing the trunk key camera or I have a behind-the-license plate camera that I may use. Just a matter of how I can snake the wires without drilling anything.
