Anyone ran the R888R rears in a 315/30/20 on a lowered 10-14 GT500? Curious how they fit before I pull the trigger, and if they were any fitment issues. Wheel they will be going on is 11” wide +56 offset.

I run them lowered on factory Ford performance springs. I am moving up to a 325 R888R though. I have Shelby Alcoa rims widened to 11.75 on the rear, bump stop relocation brackets and no sleeves on my QA1 rear shocks. I'm going up to a 325 because the 315 sidewall is too thin for my liking. It has a smaller sidewall than the 285 R888R up front and that irritates me.

These are Michelin Sport Cup 2s in 325/30-20s on 20x11.5 wheels with +61 mm offset. Fitment is tight. I'd highly recommend removing the bump stop bracket as referenced here.

I have a set of R888R's coming in that size

315x30x20 anf they will be going on a set of CS 14 rims 11x20

These rims have a offset of 50

Will let everyone know how they fit when they arrive next week. Was planning to remove the bump stop bracket but if im careful I dont think they will have to be removed. Only issue I see is when you lift the car using a sissor lift which I dont plan to do... will use a drive up

thanks-if memory serves the sport cup twos are even fatter than most tires in the same size. I’ve seen your other threads and it seemed like you avoided rubbing for the most part on the 325’s unless on a off camber surface? I have zero problem removing the bump stops if I need to, just don’t want it rubbing on the fender.

I couldn't tell you if they run smaller or not. I think that claim is baseless and a generalization. Compare the specs. Just realize cross section widths are measured on a specific rim size. Differences in that measurement between tires can be attributable to wheel widths used in that measurement. Specs will indicate what rim width the measurement was made.

5mm less offset will put your tire closer to the fender. Whether the tire construction is such that it clears or rubs is anyone's guess. Your less likely to rub with a 30 aspect ratio than a 35, however. Removing the rear springs and jacking up the axle to the bump stops will give you an idea on clearance, just realize the bump stops will compress a bit further on a hard hit.

The bump stop bracket has no contact when the car is at ride height, but lift the car and let the axle drop down and the bump stop bracket will intrude against the sidewall and some even making contact with the wheel. Granted that axle motion may be difficult to achieve on the street, but it can happen.

John totally agree .... I feel the bumpstop bracket is more probalmatic with a 19 or 18" rim than a 20.
Just installed my 315x30x20 R888R tires and they fit fine with the bumpstop. When these wear out I will try a 325x25x20 and see what happens. I think they will fit.

I now have full traction in first and second and now truly know what 780rwhp feels like!
