GT350. I find it more entertaining taking a corner at speed than going fast in a straight line.
Keep in mind the GT350 is designed and built for a road course, and the GT500 is a drag car. Two very different cars. If drag racing is for you I’d say you need the GT500.

So much depends on how you’ll use the car right?
Many more straights then curves here but that’s why like the boosted 350 idea.

GT350 and I wouldn't look back.
I noticed after owning my 15 5.0 for a while that I didn't need alot of power to have fun. I looked forward to driving on the back roads in my area and not drag racing. So that's my deciding factor, plus the GT350 just looks better bruh

Good point, more to the positive driving experience than power alone.
I felt like the GT350 at 750rwhp would be perfect.
Boost allows these cars to shine and completes the awesome package Ford Performance delivered.
The hard part for me would be Gen 5 Whipple or Hellion TT Sleeper kit?

While we're at it, we should poll...

03/04 or 13/14

Many like myself, have owned both.

I think that poll has been done.
I’ve also owned both, and bought the ‘04 and ‘14 new.
Both awesome cars in their own way.
The ‘14 is definitely the better car, just as the GT350 is a better car than the GT500, but that doesn’t make it more fun.

The fact that you can put a blower on the GT350 is game over. I'm over the solid axle GT500s. Hated how my 5.0 rode.

Id probably get a GT350 on sound alone. Can ad a blower later.

Having driven a GT350 R at Pocono Raceway a couple years back, I could not believe how the car handled through the turns, braking was insane, sounded awesome, BUT, it was missing one thing, horsepower. Do not get me wrong, it was one of the best rides ever, but the lack of over the top hp, made me decide to buy a 13 GT 500. I wanted a fast car that looked mean and with little money could smoke most things on the street, and still handles exceptionally well. For what most of us Shelby guys do, weekend cruising, car shows, cruise nights and just hanging out with your other car friends, its way more than enough car for most. Now if your a road course guy and love the S curves most of the time, the GT350 is a great choice. Installing a blower on that car is always the best route for crazy hp, which is what that car needs. My decision was to dump the $8K (cost of most blowers when all said and done) into the purchase of my 13 GT500 and do the mods I wanted and keep my payments down. I now have a 717 rwhp beast that smokes most anything out there and handles pretty damn nice too !!

poll what exactly? These aren’t even comparable... totally separate leagues.

I agree, definitely not in the same league. Although, I find myself constantly thinking of buying another 03/04.

Such a fun car.

GT350 and add boost. I’d also go a different direction. For the money the best bang for your buck car on the market in my opinion is a C7Z. Prices are dropping on them like crazy.

I'd rather a car that looked like a GT350 but had a normal 5.0 on it.

I don’t think I would track the car. Maybe drag strip for fun sometimes and that’s a maybe. Mostly for cruising and feeling the gforce when the mood strikes.

This quote makes me think the gt500 is the better choice. If you mentioned mountain runs or an occasional HPDE, I'd strongly suggest the gt350.

What great options. I traded my 14 GT500 for my 350 and am happy that I did. That being said, road course is a big part of my enjoyment and the 350 is simply light years better in that category. My 14 was a track pack and did very well but surely had its limitations. The turn in, bite and braking of the 350 is simply incredible fun on track and driving and while I miss my 500, I do not regret my decision at all.

If I read your intentions correctly, weekend cruiser and toy I believe you will be good with either. The GT500 is raucous and fun. It will terrify you and make you giggle at the same time. The 350 is a pure joy to drive and the sound is unreal. They are both special cars.
