Does anyone still use a clock radio or traditional alarm clock

Not exactly a traditional clock or clock/radio.

Without my hearing aids I test just over the threshold of "deaf" so I can't hear an alarm. My alarm clock has a bright light that flashes and a pad under the pillow that vibrates. It scared the hell out of my wife's new kitten who was sleeping soundly next to my pillow. The older cat is used to it and never bothers her.

I have a small one for travel that has the vibrate disk for under the pillow. There was an app on the phone that flashed but it stopped working.

I just use the phone on vibrate. I'm a light sleeper and it's never failed to wake me up.

The only clock in my room is a vintage Mickey Mouse manual wind clock from the 60's (I love old clocks and watches) that isn't functional. Knowing the time while I sleep is a recipe for anger and frustration.

I have a digital alarm clock. Ive used my phone before but I prefer an actual alarm clock. Plus, my clock has USB ports that I can use for charging.

I was at target just a couple days ago and nearly picked up a new alarm clock. Mainly because it had a projector for the time (I am easily entertained haha). I ended up not getting it because my current one still works.

I definitely would not wake up when I need to if I didnt have an alarm. Although, my kids will wake me once they are awake. I usually need to wake up earlier than when they are awake.

I have a sunrise alarm clock. It's been a game changer for my morning routine. I'm a night owl. I don't even bother setting an alarm on my phone anymore. I wake up gradually over 15-20 minutes. It is so much nicer than the abrupt wake-up a-la the Groundhog Day gif posted above.
The Best Sunrise Alarm Clock for 2020

I have one of these at the grandparents place, need to bring it back with me and give it a try. I use the alarm on my phone for the most part and I hate it. I still have the digital alarm clock to see what time it is when I wake up during the night

Interesting I didn't even know this was a thing. I'm not so sure the gradual would work for me, I'm such a heavy sleeper I almost have to be scared but a sudden loud alarm to wake my ass up. Usually its my wife forcing me to get up because I've snoozed and slept through all 3 alarms on my phone and never knew it. I will see screenshots saved in my phone of my alarm clock screen from me squeezing buttons until it stops making noise only to capture screen shots over and over lol

Get a cheap one and try it. I'm a super deep sleeper and I HATE mornings. The sunrise alarm helps me wake up refreshed rather than groggy because it gradually brings me out of REM sleep.

Yup use a digital alarm clock with radio. Staying old school for now. Clock auto sets itself and has a battery backup for the dual alarms... Do not like my cell in the bedroom. Constant beeping or buzzing at the wrong times. :D

My phone is no where near my bed at night (downstairs in kitchen). So yes, but it is at least a self setting one so it never blinks after a power loss....

I haven't used an alarm clock for over 3+ years. We have an Amazon Echo on our bedroom dresser and every night when I go to bed I say, "Alexa, wake me up at (5:30 AM)". I don't have to touch anything. All voice controlled to set, snooze and stop. It's part of my regular routine now. Been using the Echo and Alexa for the last two years or so.

If you use the iPhone stock 'Bedtime' app, located in the factory 'clock' app, you can set a nice slow ascending volume alarm. It was a game changer when my daughter was born and sleeping in our room in her bassinet.

Dang, I was excited there for a minute. It looks like that lets you set a regular predetermined schedule. I don't think it'll work for me. My alarm might need to go off anywhere from 2:30AM to 11:45PM.

I just had a random thought and was curious am I about the only person that still uses a clock radio/alarm clock instead of using their phone?
I use an alarm clock only as back up. I always wake up before the alarm goes off.
When I was working,.......:( lol

I'm throughly surprised no one has a four legged alarm clock. My oldest cat lays right down on my chest and purrs up a storm when it's time for me to wake up.

I was literally thinking about getting mine back out. I have developed a bad habit of rolling over, checking my phone for the time, and then looking into all the social media notifications. When you admin/mod several FB groups, that's a never ending list. Next thing I know it's been 15 minutes and I put it down and go back to bed.
