The rear drive wheels are controlled independently with the levers you see on the handlebars, they're actually quite nimble once you get the hang of it and you can mow just as fast as a Z turn.

I have had an eXmark with Kawasaki power like this for over 20 years, I will never wear it out.

With reasonable maintenance it would be tough to wear out any of the true commercial products found outside a big box.

I had a 48" Bobcat commercial walk behind with a 19 horse Kawasaki that I used for years before I upgraded to a Z turn. I sold it for what I paid for it 6 years later.

My Z turn is 10 years old and has just over 300 hours, I was fine what I paid for it because I knew it would the last mower I would ever buy.
