Just wondering how hard it is to create an app. I have an idea that I think could be very useful for people. Do apps really make money? Any info would be useful. Thanks

If you build an app for the iPhone that you'll sell through the App Store, the submission/approval process isn't as easy/quick as with an Android app through Google Play.

Did you check the App Store (Apple) and Google Play (Android) to see it someone else is selling a similar app?

Yeah I’m not gonna do it then if it’s that much money. I’ll tell it to ya maybe someone can make a fortune and throw me a bone. Was thinking of an app like waze but with people reporting traffic congestion at stores. Especially now when you don’t want to go out. If you check the app of the local target people can rate the lines and busyness that helps people. Was just an idea don’t think I’ll ever do it.

It would help to have a solid foundation in programming languages such as: Objective-C, Java, C, C++. Having a background in python and VB helps too

Google already kinda does that. Do a search for your local grocery store. There's normally a bar graph that shows the hours of operation/busiest hours.

Google uses locations to track traffic patterns to alert you to congestion while using Google maps.

Design your app. Register it or patent, then license it and collect royalties.

Live baller life.

Yup - Apple & Google have all this data for hundreds of millions of users. Most people don't disable location tracking.
