Must be an April Fools joke... What kind of moron increases prices between 20% and 55% on purely discretionary items during a pandemic and the biggest stock market crash since the 1930s?

I sent this to a friend of mine who has a vendorship with Weld, he said this is not a joke, it is legitimate.

Sorry to say this but I think some of these high end or drag wheels are stupid over priced and always have been. I made the mistake of buying ccw wheels at one time and had 5,000 plus in them with tires. I aint trying to bash or talk crap just stating I think its crazy.
And this is why people end up buying covid wheels.
So the Welds I was looking to buy went from $400 to $625.

Probably not labor costs (10 MM unemployed in 2 weeks) or aluminum prices (see chart) or lack of competition (see Forgeline's new line of bead locks, etc.).

They unfortunately can’t go below map once the new price is in effect. Even if they already had them in inventory.
weld done ****ed up, many of us aren’t going to have any ****ing jobs if this goes on much longer.
Weld is owned by Momo, an italian company, and, just a guess, they might not understand the US market as much as they think. Somehow I don't think the Ferrari model will work in the wheel market.
