Lowering my 03 Vert

I've looked, and searched so much on what I want, I figured I'd ask, maybe someone has had this setup on an 03/04 vert. For springs I'm thinking of the HR Sport Springs for a vert. MM CC plates, and Steeda bumpsteer kit.

Is there anything else I should be getting? Is it better to just cut the stockers? Would I need CC plates if I did this?

I don't want a slammed look, I'm looking to get rid of the 4x4 look though. I drive the car for fun, so not worried about speed bumps, there is 1 coming into my community that i'll have to wrestle with. I do have bassani mid length headers though. Would prefer not to scrape everytime I return from a drive.

Any comments, advice welcome. Want to do this right if I do move forward on it.

Thanks.
Chris

I have H&R race springs and never scrape. With that said I would like it lower. Sports will get you a little lower than race. Do the CC plates for sure so your camber is not out of wack. You will want to also replace your sway bar end links for lowered applications. MM makes those, plus the bushings are probably worn on your car being an 03'. Also, depending on how wide your wheels are in the back, you may need to roll your rear fenders, especially if you have spacers.

If you have the race springs, I will get those. I don’t think I want to be lower than that. All of your ISO’s left in? Your car looks great.

I have G2 315/17 in the back, no spacers. I’m hoping I won’t have to roll fenders, that would be a deal breaker.

I cut my stock springs long ago. These are the only pics I have of that car left. Want to say maybe I cut 3/4 coil off front and 1 1/2 off back. But I don't remember. I was only trying to level it. Needed nothing else to get it aligned properly. I had it for 8 years and 60k miles after cutting the springs.

I put the MM bump-steer on a while back so up to you. I have Nitto NT-01's on the back that are 315/30/18 with 1/4" spacer. I needed to roll with the spacer, but not without. All the stock ISO's are in. Also, might as well replace the stock sway bar bushings while at it with Poly MM. Easy to do and cheap. The stock bushings are probably in bad shape. Good luck!

I also recommend the race springs. My car is not a vert but I do have the race springs and like them a lot. I almost wish they were more stiff. I think the sports would be too soft due to the lighter spring rate. I have kooks long tubes so I do scrape every now and then but I also have all isos out. I do not have my fenders rolled. With a 295 and 3/4" spacer my tire barely touches the fender lip on rare occasions when the suspension is loaded heavily. I think you will be happy with the race springs.

I see the MM sway bar end links for the IRS, on lime there is prothane front sway bar end link. And Lethal has MM front sway end link, but that’s says for vehicles lowered by 1.3/4 “ which one did you get with your race springs?

thank you. Think I’m going to place order this weekend. Which bumpsteer did you get, in case I want to do that while everything else is done.
Appreciate your help

Be careful, the mod bug gets out of hand quick!:)[/QUOTE]

right, I know! I think once the lowering is done I’m finishing for awhile. Just has an upper pulley, full exhaust, but it’s fast enough for a weekend driver.
