Do you guys think used car prices will go down as well? Looking for a slightly used Tahoe/Yukon for our expanding family. We’ve been in contact with a few dealerships and none want to come down from their asking price.

I'm sure pretty soon. But that being said they don't usually have big margins on used cars and I'm sure if you are trading in don't expect a good trade in number.

Bet they are more willing to get rid of new cars over used right now.

In Ca there are huge margins in used cars the average price is 5k over what there have in the car. Now thats normally there asking price if there eager to make money they will play the game with you. New cars actually have a small margin especially on high volume dealerships.

Yea, guess it'll vary on location as well. I know carmax, for example, adds 4-5k on top of what they give you, but I've seen two different dealers only add 2.5-3k on top of trade in number.

IIRC I thought dealers get a (incentive?)check from manufacturers on every truck they sell.

They do get an incentive kick back from the manufacturers, which is why the high volume dealership will take the small margin in order to sell more vehicles.

I really like the idea of a high mpg truck that can still tow what the average person would tow. I really like the GMC AT4 1500 with the diesel. I don't know why Ford and GM don't push them harder.

Honestly because for ford the EcoBoost makes so much more power.

As for GM not sure why. Personally i would prefer the 6.2.

not at my post...
I was called today saying incentives are expiring. Haha

LOL at the dealers trying hard close tactics during a ****ing pandemic.
