After all this back and forth, i forgot to mention mine is a vert. I believe they have different springs which might have something to do with the rubbing.:confused:

I run a 1/4" spacer on the driver side and no spacer on the passenger. Been like that over a year with no issues. My tires weren't rubbing, but it was closer than I liked. I could barely fit a finger between the tire and bracket.

What is your wheel and tire setup?
FR500's, 17x9/10.5, Nitto 555 275/40/17 front, Nitto 555R 315/35/17 rear. Fenders are rolled and I have the low profile IRS bolts. But the only time the tires touch the bolt is at full droop.

I ended up going with a 5mm spacer from AM. So far so good. No more rub. No noises. Pic attached as promised.

Most probably not. I'll leave it open by saying every car is different and these cars arent exactly known to be held to the tightest production standards. Stick with the 17, they are lighter, tires are cheaper and you wont have to buy front wheels.
No spacers will be needed as long as you buy wheels speced for your car. Most 03 10.5 reps are meant for 03 cobras with irs so you'll be fine

So will 3/8 be ok with stock studs and lugs ?

Honestly bro I'm not sure. I run arp extended studs both front and rear on my car so I can't answer that.
Maybe someone else who has experience can chime in. I'd hate to give bad advice

Easy way to check: remove one of your stock lug nuts and count the turns to remove it (from fully torqued). If you have 17 turns minimum then a 3/8" spacer will fit and you'll still have 10 turns (1/2") of thread engadgement. I've heard of people runnnig a 1/4" spacer on stock studs but 3/8" may be too much.

I tried 1/4 on stock studs 17/10.5

I found the wheel just catches the hub enough to hold it.

I didn’t feel safe with enough stud into lug nut.

Longer studs for my opinion
