Things are setting up well for me. Plenty of money to pour into the market during this once in a decade opportunity in the market. As well major job security during this pandemic, which hasn’t really impacted my company. On top of that, my consultant work has remained steady. Im lucky to be able to feel secure during a time like this.

now I just have to keep saving and wait for people to buy into no payment loans for 6 months, and then lose their jobs and be forced to sell their car for pennies on the dollar so I can scoop up a lightly used ride for cheap

Now that it looks like the stay-at-policy will extend at least through the month of April, I'm using the time here at home as an opportunity to catch up on stuff I haven't had time to get done. I'm still doing job-related stuff from home, but because the office is closed I have less work to do overall. Same with my wife. We're making the stay-at-home requirement as positive a thing as we can.

I instantly thought of this song when I saw this thread. Don't worry! Be happy! :)

Vibrating with excitement about how this week is shaping up.

Wednesday the wife and I are officially no longer under quarantine. Shopping never sounded so fun. Still good for red wine and beers but running dangerously low on several other flavors. Might just redefine what constitutes 'thick' in terms of barbecue meat. Don't need toilet paper but if it's in stock I'll buy a shit ton anyway so that one day when we look back on all of this I can work TP into the story.

The youngest daughter invited us along to pick up her first self bought puppy this Friday. Three quarters Great Pyrenees and a quarter Bernese Mountain Dog. Male pup from a mom that weighs a buck twenty. Gonna be fun to watch this dog grow. Big day in our girl's life and we'll be happy to be part of it. Don't imagine she has any idea how big a loaf a large breed dog can pinch off.

Yup, pretty hard to complain. Wishing you all a great week as well.

I'm very fortunate that my wife and I still have our jobs and we're staying busy. For the last two years, the company I work for has been trying to implement a work from home policy. Many of the leaders do not agree with working from home and are very solidly in the "if you're not in the office, you're not working." This has proven many roles do not have to report to the office.

Working from home has really improved my quality of life: no rush hour traffic to deal with, less interaction with the general stupidity of the public and more time for me to get all of my work done. I've been enjoying the good weather and have been fortunate to also shelter in the North GA Mountains.

My company/job has not been affected by the virus.

I am expecting news of around a 10% raise sometime this year.

I paid off one of my rental properties and got a great new tenant in another new one that provides great extra cash flow.

Currently working on several spring cleaning and home improvement projects. Hope to refinance soon with the low rates and pay this house off by the time I'm 50. (35 now)

Working on my new C5Z track car as time permits.

Clean, sober, and smoke-free since August 2019.

I lost 20lbs in January and am keeping it off. Went from 200lbs to 180lbs at 6'0.

Clicking along on my Master's Degree.. I will be DONE in early October.

My wife and I are expecting our first child in early November! She is a nurse and due to the virus only has to work 2-3 days a week for a while which is a blessing in disguise so she can spend more time at home relaxing.

Life is very busy but very good. I am blessed.

The positives???

I get to sleep late
Spend more time with my dog
Get to workout a bit more/recover better
Spend less money on gas for the truck (Although, I don't drive far from home to work.)
Less miles on my truck

Hopefully all this Chinese virus bullshit passes us quickly and we can get back to the way we were!!

All of my friends and family are healthy and still getting paid during this mess. I'm getting work from home days which means I'm getting to spend more time with the wife and kids and since I can't really do my job from home I'm pretty much just attending webex meetings and checking emails.

My work bonus went through at the beginning of March, my turnaround check should be coming in sometime in April and we can't eat out all the time like normal so the bank account is looking good.

Bought a welder because I've been wanting to learn how to do it for a while.

My job and my wife's job.

I've been working from home full-time for about 2 years now (software), so I'm not going to be as impacted by any existing or upcoming restrictions. Neither is my industry.

My wife as an RN is well, just more in demand now, though I do worry about her going into the hospital, but I know she'll make sure she's safe. She's also finishing up her Master's to be a Nurse Practitioner, where she can work at a family practice as a primary care provider (earning essentially family doctor pay), vs. working at a hospital.

I also just got two raises over the last 9 months, and several bonuses.

I finally have the weekends off and getting started on a side patio at our house. The wife has not started one spat and steady making bread and bagels for us and the neighbors. She also just set up her incubator the hatch out some more chickens. Kids are staying busy with school work and projects and even helping me. One just started learning how to drive the Skid steer and that's all he wants to do. Stay positive people.

Haven't left the house in like 3 days, but after sleeping in I ventured out to a local food truck that is still open and amazing. I overdid it there then swung by steak and shake for a shake on the way home. I was legit in food coma upon getting home, so I took a 2 hour nap! :) If I'm not working, I gotta make the best of these days.

I want to make a "positive" thread during this virus crap.

What's good in your life right now ? =)

For me: I'm enjoying our new life in AZ. right off the bat I notice the difference with people and friendliness. The clean factor is insane. I sold my house in CA for a great profit. I am starting a new car detailing business. Our new (used) house is coming along with projects. Now I'm not "as busy" so I get quality time with my baby daughters. You just have to remember: even when shit is hitting the fan and life is crazy, there is ALWAYS a positive side to life. Hang in there gents, eventually things will be back to normal. Stay healthy and stay positive =)
Amen on the positive note OP. I am alive and relatively free, have a wonderful wife, the kids are healthy and happy. My business has not taken too much of a hit so far because of all of the turmoil going on right now. I have the peace of God even through it all. Congrats on the Arizona home man. Nice idea for a thread!

Had two weeks off so far and got TONS of work done on my house. Got my car prepped and ready for the race track this Wednesday which will remain open for us members. Wife got a raise due to being essential and it sounds like I'm going back to work mid April.

And its sunny and warm out. I feel truly terrible for those affected negatively but this situation has been awesome for me.
