Holy crap that thing is sweet in black.

Damn... bad thoughts running through my head! Im a hopeless cummins guy at heart

We bought a 3500 Cummins with the Aisin last year. Great looking truck, tows like a mf'er, no issues, but it is kinda slow. I was disappointed. I had a Gen 1 Cummins and loved it, but the new one was underwhelming. Drive a Scorpion 6.7 then a Cummins 6.7 and you'll see what I mean. Granted the Cummins will last 3 times as long but you'd rather drive the Ford.

Is your 3500 the HO motor with 1000 torque? I sold my 2016 cummins Ram (360hp/850 tq) to Vroom last year in the fall. It towed fantastic but youre right.. i was a bit underwhelmed by the power. I thought my 2006 cummins truck felt stronger.

I currently have a 1999 3/4 ton 2nd gen cummins with a nv4500 manual trans, 100hp injectors, 4" exhaust, and a programmer. Its quite the beast. I have a larger turbo coming for it next week.

But truth be told, i could use a dually as my 5er is about 14k lbs loaded.

And yes.. the new ford HD diesels will wipe the floor with any other current offerings... no doubt.

Regular rates for stellar credit may make taking all the monies a better deal.

That has always been my experience.

The emissions systems will kill them both well before either will wear out. Also, the newest Cummins may not be quite as tough as the old.

I still wouldn't mind finding a 2002 6-speed truck.

Theyre out there, but youll probably have to come out my way to find one that is not rusted and beat to hell.

I have a line on a 2wd 12v dually with ~95k original miles... i think the old man wants $11k... i might have to do it.

It's still a fundamentally a better design. Hands down.

With that being said, your execution of those advantages plays a huge role.

No it is the 935 ft/lb. I'm not sure how they react to mods but our F-350 that is deleted and tuned rolls TF out weighing 9,000 lbs.
Damn it now I miss my '92 LE with the awful Getrag.

Still should be no damn slouch at 935. Im glad you told me that. Im sure it feels similar to the 2016 i sold.

My biggest gripe was how dead it felt right off the pedal. Definitely not like the cummins of old.

7 years @ 0% is awesome. Sure would be nice to see this become the norm across the manufacturer board. A lot of folks in the market would be beyond happy.
I thought this was SVTP where everyone pays cash and only fools finance a depreciating asset for more then 48 months?

GM needs to be careful. ZERO Payments for a year is what killed Mitsubishi. They tried to sucker in a bunch of college and recent graduates with great financing, but then all these kids did was end up incredibly upside down and Mitsubishi got caught holding the debt.

I'd rather see GM give you 2-3 skip payments during the life of the loan for unforeseeable issues instead of 4 months up front.

I'd do zero percent for 96 if I could then gang bang the payment. No interest means I'm not getting shafted, so the term isnt a detriment and it's not making me pay front loaded interest.

And yes, lol at the SVTP baller financial recs. I live in the real world, Ain't got time Fo dat

Jay-Z once said, if you can't buy it twice, you can't afford it.

You are taking on debt one way or the other and stretched out payments is one way people fall horribly upside down as they won't have enough equity to beat out depreciation in the first few years.

So suddenly two years from now you have to sell, but you also need to come up with $3-10k... Not a great situation since if you had $3-10k you likely wouldn't be needing to sell in the first place.

Sure but we're all gonna die from Corona flu in a few months. Until then I'm going to rock a new Whippled Tremor.

The assumption is that you take the loan to term. In 0% loans you're hitting 100% of the principle with every payment .

Also, Jay-z isnt buying me anything anytime soon.

I think what will hurt a lot of (idiots) people is if the 84 months now qualifies them for a vehicle they couldn't afford at a 48-60 month note.
But if you are doing well financially, and see the 0%-84 month note as a good way to buy a vehicle and control how much you want to throw down every month over the set principal then it won't hurt.
But yea, this will be abused by a majority of people who shouldn't of bought a new car to begin with.

If going by Jay-zs rule, this place would be a ghost town lol. Would be the Treynor ,DBZ and a handful of others club lol
