First off, the 00R absolutely ROCKS! It is an amazing machine and one of my 2 favorite cars in my stable... it’s a special car.

Mods hurt values with the 00R, but the good news is it looks like that is an original splitter that has been painted... that’s a relatively easy fix. The wheels also look original and can be repainted silver. That leaves the roll bar... personally I would keep it as I bet panels were cut.

Now comes a value assessment... I can’t imagine the seller letting this car go for anything in the twenties... that would be considerably low for a car like this. A nice original low-mile example goes in the 50s and higher in some cases. If you can get this car for $35, I’d say you got yourself one hell of a deal!

It's definitely a cool car, but sadly the number it puts out are no longer impressive. Ford guys will still love it.
yes but it can handle the curves of the Swiss alps with ease!

Did you mention if it comes with any paperwork, and specifically the black binder, and plate? for me, personally the cage and mods hurts the value greatly (Im into stock cars), but the upside all are mostly reversible (if desired).

This is a rare car one of 300, there are NOT many applicable comps in this millage category (many more under 5k). And yes, a new base 5.0 is faster. Who cares, this car is a hoot and delivers a different raw experience. Also, if you care, go anywhere, and unlikely there will be another.

I am not one bit surprised he is asking ~$40-45k (getting might be a different story). I dont think our current economy / situation, has made it to collector car values yet, however. People need to stop buying for a longer period.

If you had a high mileage Terminator, that might be a reasonable deal. Since your car only has 11k miles, I wouldn’t give your car AND $15k. Also... your terminator is an unknown... is it modded or stock? Is it pristine or does it show wear? If it is heavily modded and beat to hell, car + a chunk of cash might be fair. If it’s a pristine virgin, maybe the car plus $5k to $9k.

Very lightly modded and I have all stock parts to return it back to 100% bone stock in excellent condition. Thanks for the advice.

Car is worth 40k. It's a good buy mid 30's.

I want a 00R and have been watching them closely for a year plus now.

If you bought the car I don't think you would ever lose any money on it. However things are changing in the world and prices of cars like these and others may see a reset. However personally I think it will hold value or just may be harder to find the right buyers.

Good luck!

Keep the termi for sure. It's not a 15k + your car kind of buy.

Second to that, this car doesn't even have a radio or AC. It's really only worth about 1200-1500 on a good day. Comparable to an early 80's Honda.

Wow, crazy to see how the market on the 00R has changed in the last 5-6 years or so...I remember following bidding on a badass turbo build one that was clean that sold for low $30s I believe.

But ****ING LOL at your 11k mile 03 and $15k cash.

Was this through text/email or conversation? Either way he'd have been irked at me cause I'd have been laughing to hard or sent too many laughing smilies back when he said/sent that.

No way in hell I'd do that deal.

It was through email. I sent him pictures of my car and he sent me pics of his. I thought maybe 10K and my car would be a fair deal but after the responses I've gotten in this post I'll probably just keep or sell my car to get a mint condition 00R or Laguna Seca...
