Stopped by my local ford dealer yesterday to pick up oil and a filter. I went to change the oil today and just happened to look at my old filter box and noticed the new box had a different part number. Instead of a FL 2087, it was FL 2062-A. When I returned to the parts dept, the tech looked up the filter for my car again - 2019 GT 350R and it came up with the 2062 number. He knew it was wrong and said that the system had suddenly started putting that one in place of the 2087. The 62 is for an eco boost motor and he pointed out the difference...no wire mesh reinforcement on the inside. He also said they had a GT350 in for service and found the 2062 filter on the car and it had collapsed on itself. So...you may want to check next time you have your oil changed or if you are buying one to be sure you get the 2087.

2062 was the part for the first cartridge style oil filter in 2017. The part was changed to 2087 right before the 19’s I believe. The physical dimensions of the filter are identical. I used the 2062 filter for the fist 3 oil changes without any issues.
