Hello,

Original owner here of the above mentioned. I did an extensive write up and posted pictures on eBay.

This is going to be long........ I bought this car as a gift to myself for my 40th birthday and took delivery of it in October of 2011. I purchased it from a Penske Ford dealership in Arkansas and had it delivered to me in Morgantown, WV. I researched the hell out of this car, bought every article, read every review, and purchased it without ever driving it. I was not dissapointed. The car came from the factory with the "Quad exhaust" option. The "restrictor plates" were out and it was love at first turn of the key.

I planned on taking this car to track nights (I did 3 times) driving it in nice weather, and keeping it forever. i did 2 out of 3..... I drove the car less and less (about 1500 miles per year the last 4) and now with my kids driving and me getting them cars i just do not have room for it.

The car is a blast to drive. I did few track nights with it, and i also took a few road trips to places like Tail of the Dragon. I drove it around town some and to the airport when I was traveling for business. it did all of those tasks very well. It is an "old school" muscle car with reliability, A/C, Cruise control, and comfort for a car that can be driven on a track very well too. I went to the Ford Racing school after I bought it for three days of driver training and when you see these cars in the hand of a professional driver, well they are far more capable than my driving skills allow.

I read when I got the car (still have the article) that the only thing Ford left on the table for more power was long tube headers. If the car would have this from the factory, it would not have been able to be built on the assembly line. So Ford installed short tube headers. A common issue with these cars was "lock out" of hitting 3rd gear under hard acceleration, I experienced this and was super frustrated with that.

So a few modifications started. I had a full Kooks Exhaust system installed, this included long tube headers, H-pipe, Kooks side pipes, and all the way back to mufflers. I did not install Catalytic converters. With the Kooks side pipes and the QTP electric open, the sound is unreal. Think Nascar.... Honestly, with out a helmet and the windows down it was GLORIOUS but too loud. Closing the butterflies quieted it down nicely, but still with a menacing rumble.

At this time I had MGW shifter installed, Ford Racing lowering springs, JLT cold air intake, and new rear center link and panard arms. I then had it tuned on a dyno and was putting down 460 to the rear wheels. I took it to the track one time and still experienced the 3rd gear lock out. I drove it very little in this configuration. It was great for the track, but to low and jarring for every day drives around town. This work was done at Rodeheavers speed shop in Uniontown, PA.

After a couple years driving it very little, and after much research i found that the CURE for the shifting ails was a new clutch. I also decided to make it less track ready and more of a road cruiser and it was still definitely track capable. Found a Ford dealership that did this type of work (Toothman Ford in Grafton, WV). They reinstalled my OEM springs, installed a McLeod RST dual disk clutch, maximum Motorsports camber adjusters, I upgraded the shifter again to a MGW Race Spec Gen II shifter, went back to the stock cold air intake, went back to the stock "track key tune" (LOVE the lopey idle). The shifting issue was Fixed! The ride so much better. It does throw a code because of the cats being deleted, but this is easily cleared with the CT tuner. The air fuel ratio is perfect. I took this car on a road trip to tail of the dragon (was a blast) did one more track night (performed flawlessly) and put it away for the winter as i have done every year that i have owned it. Last year i had the cooling system flushed and new Michelin Pilot Sports 4S installed. and i put about about 400 miles on it.....

Windows are professionally tinted, Ford racing rear diff cover installed, trans cooling scoop installed, brake cooling ducts installed. JLT oil separators, sound tube delete, and ATE DOT 5 brake fluid installed as well.

All maintenance up to date. Car has never been in winter and rarely has seen rain.

5 years ago i backed my Kawasaki mule into the car right behind the drivers door. No metal was replaced, the dent was worked out and repainted. it turned out great.

I have every stock part that came off this car, also have to original owners kit, certificate of authenticity, and car cover.

The car is in excellent condition and is an absolute thrill to drive.

I hope this answers any questions, I am happy to provide more information pictures or documentation.

Lots of pictures too:

On the eBay listing......

I’ll try and get some posted here as soon as I figure out how. In the meantime feel free to contact me. -Keith
