Im considering going with these Nittos, over all they get reviews for great handling and good ride and I like the price and its one of the few that comes in my size. But there are a few negative review about road noise/growling.
Who has gone with these, opinions please

I know there are some better ones out there and more expensive but I would like to only hear about these Nittos.

I have them. On Roush 18x9 on the front. Great tires. Noise was no different any other front tires i have had on it prior.

I really like them. 275-35 on 18x9 up front. Had to do a hard brake from over 100 a few weeks ago and I could feel my brain rock forward in my skull and my other organs rush to the front of my abdomen. Turning is also quick, precise and crisp. No noticeable road noise to speak of.

They weren't bad on our 06. I didn't notice any noise in both the 06 and 04. I think the Pirellis on the wife's Audi are louder. But then it doesn't have aftermarket exhaust.

Had them on my Lightning. I liked them. Road noise wasn't an issue for me. I'd recommend them.

I have them on my 01 - 265/35/18 front, 295/40/18 rears on my 18x9/18x10 staggered setup. Great tire, don't notice much extra road noise. Drove through torrential rains after Woodward Dream cruise two years ago and no issues with hydroplaning. I would recommend them

I have them in front on my HC. I am a fan and would run them on all 4 if power level allowed or for track car.

That's why I took them off my 04. First was useless. Second was a gamble. Third was usually there. But I almost lost a race to a GTI because they wouldn't hook.

Ha ha. ah shucks, all you Texans always braggin about your Big tires, lol

I like the 255s ( plus-1 size) on my stock rims, gives it just a little bit more beefy look and with 1 3/4" drop they help fill out (1" rear spacers) the wheel wells nicely and no rubbing issues. Also with the drop the slightly taller 255s give a little more lift to keep me from dragging most speed bumps. I like staying with the 17s and im not drag racing, maybe some autocross and track so for me the size is just right.

Keep us posted! I’m looking at those exact tires and sizes for my stockers. Those Firestone Indy 500s look tempting too!!

Well I just received them today but probably wont have them on for a couple weeks.
The Firestone Indys might have been my first choice but they dont come in 255-45-17
That size used to be more available but some of the manufactures stopped making them,
except for some that are more expensive or some cheap Chinese tires. The Nittos have a
better than average performance look, even better than what is shown in the photos.

Yea...I’m probably gonna go with the Nittos as well due to the size.

There is also the BFG GForce comp 2 in that size that can be had on amazon for $147 free shipping. They are highly rated for grip but many negative reviews on harsh ride and noisy. So I went with the Nittos being a little cheaper and better reviews for ride and noise.
