I don't see anything to be too concerned about. How long have you been running E on those injectors? I usually send mine out once a year to get cleaned. Just noticed you're in Jax area too.
That would be valve seals. Most of these engines puff at start up. Just nature of the beast. Personally I think it's fine. The very occasional puff of smoke on start up after sitting for a week but otherwise not at all. Still pulled hard AF on my way home before I checked and then I think the paranoid side of me just immediately freaked out to be honest when I saw it. It's such a quiet motor, even when making power still. And the power feels right if you know what I mean. I'll take a video of it running as soon as I can but no noises or smoke. Compression test was also great on all 8 cylinders.

I’m thinking so too and Mr. Chris Fix himself is also putting my mind at easeThat would be valve seals. Most of these engines puff at start up. Just nature of the beast. Personally I think it's fine.
doesnt really look like detonation to me either, howd the ground strap on the plug look?

That's fantastic news.....now is the time to button up the fuel system, and make sure you have a properly functioning wideband you can datalog...get that sucker on E85 and let the tuner dial her in. Dial in a pump gas tune.
I wouldn't beat on the car WOT until the above is done. Take full advantage of this second chance. Maybe this motor still has a long life to live.
The resolution of those images isn't clear enough to make a fair judgment imo. Could be yes, could be no. Those plugs on the other hand need to be changed out for something in the correct heat range. Tr55 is made for n/a cars. A tr6 would be more ideal.
kinda confused by your response...This piston came in from a shop that does Hellcats. Would you put this piston back into service?
It’s a shop car not a customers.
I SmoothEd out and ceramic coated it. Personally I would not risk it.
You can click optimize for the resizing. Would love to understand.Bloody thing says file too big to upload. Trust me if you guys could see the picture you would not be running out for a second.
