Since my business is in manufacturing and we are a tier 1 supplier, we are going to be severely effected by this outbreak. Most of the work cannot be done remotely.

Hang it there. Sorry, that's all I have for you. I work for a multi-national engineering and manufacturing company, and two of our factories are closing tonight at midnight for who knows how long.

My wife is working from home for the foreseeable future, which is no big deal for her as she often does anyways. I'm on a split schedule as of today, work 2 days and off the rest of the week. Since they haven't given me a laptop I won't be doing shit while I'm off lol.

I'm working from home starting tomorrow. Myself and the other higher ups are taking turns going in one at a time on rotating days in case something goes down with the field crews. Work crews are still going full blast only 1 customer cancelled. Curious to see if people are going to start getting scared of having a 6 man crew in their house soon....

Anywhere I have an internet connection, I can work. We can already WFH whenever we want and I haven't been in one of our offices for over a week now. Apparently, our offices are all closing down anyway.

There's just no way I can work from home.
Wife is home with our 1 year old who hasn't started kindergarden yet.
I wouldn't get anything done. I tried do it once and failed miserably. Way too much distractions.

I doubt they are going to stop my two projects. Construction work only continues when people are actually here.

I am currently running a project building a booster pump station for a large Washington DC area municipality. The owner told his employees to leave and we have one inspector on site from here on out. My other project, for the same municipality, is rehabbing a waste water station and they havent told their inspector anything.

On our end, our company is cleaning job trailers daily, handing out wipes and hand sanitizer. Meetings from here on out are all teleconference and only project manager and superintendent in the trailers.

Its serious but i think the precautions being taken are keeping us safe. Hope this all goes well and we can get back to normal soon.

Been working from home for over 15 years. Business as usual here. I'm glad I have a deep freeze with a whole steer and 2 deer in it.

No way there is a national shutdown. Shut the whole country down for 2 weeks. Including all flights and borders. Then reopen and someone will just bring the virus back into the country. It's obvious most people don't know how viruses work. The virus is here to stay. The general population will just have to build immunity. That's the fix and it takes time.

Right now I’m just sitting on sites watching the sun go down.

Nothing is going on, but someone has to sit there “ just in case “

My wife is a nurse legal consultant and works from the home office anyway. I am currently TDY out of state and was told to finish my travel and come home as planned, I imagine I'll be told not to come in when I get back next month if this is still going on.

Remember the Swine Flu and the concern surrounding it? Well, that strain of the flu has not disappeared. It continues to circulate every season, yet no one cares anymore.

In all forms of living things, the weak will suffer and the rest will carry on.
