I've been gone from the forum a loooong time. Decided years ago mods weren't my thing and just not enough time in the day. Anyway, I'm an original owner having taken delivery in early June 2012 of Sterling Gray coupe with all the options but the roof. The car has been driven a bit here and there, is perfect, through the almost 8 (crazy) years and now has 13,250 miles. Beyond the obvious "keep it" reactions I realize it will have to get sold soon/eventually as I downsize garage and life. I know the guys here and on any model-specific forum (been doing them since 2000 as in Y2K) are really the best source of info on the car itself or what has been going on with one. I couldn't be more out of touch so my question is with the arrival of the "automatic" GT500 and supposedly no manual, where has it left our cars currently? I don't have to sell now and can probably hold onto it a few more years but would only do so if prices have stabilized or would go up some. Apologies if this belongs in the F/S section but I don't know if there is a specific one for our 13-14's or just a general F/S where this question might not hit the right audience. TY!

Little or no chance it will go up in value. If you don't enjoy driving it anymore, selling may be the smart move.
Now is the time to post it..

Yep, sell now.

No reason to keep it while the values hold steady, at best.

Additionally, every insurance premium you pay is money down the drain.

Good luck. I’d like to think a lower mileage like yours would sell in the mid to high 40s to a private party, but that time may have passed.

Yeah the only way I see them going UP is maybe 40 years from now? But we'll (most of us anyway) will be long gone by then :)

I haven't sold a car in a good while. A few years back I did list it here but decided to keep it after offers not worthwhile. I guess I will list here when ready and also probably try BAT (bring a trailer) as I've enjoyed looking at cars F/S there for years now. I guess the C-19 virus thing has to blow over and then some first. Stay well!

I've been struggling with the same issue but part of me differs from some opinions. I look at 2020 GT500 but gouging prices which are way high for me. My buddy has a new triple black '19 ZR1 that stole my heart! The fever of friends making moves & talking about the C8 Z06 does get me crazy. To me they are all supercars and my friends deserve to get what they want. But that fever is contagious. Each time I open the garage I'm torn again ! Despite past mod money I threw at the car it's now free ! The supercars are there but likely with 40-60-80K over my sale price.
Try just opening your garage, take a slow walk around your GT500. Start it up and just sit there. Think about what you'd want instead. The memories you will always have. If it's new adventure time , you know what you want & have the cash go for it Bud ! Life is short.
Impulse is a powerful motivator. We've all had THAT car we wished we never sold LOL! When you sit in your car you will know if this is just impulse or if it's time for you to sell and why.

Jam421 I hear you but I've already put another animal next to the horse/snake in the form of a cat. My plan is to drive the cat mostly and maybe use the snake 1x per week if possible. Not sure if that becomes a pain as it has been in the past.

You remind me of "The Oracle" from The Matrix
Well said, good view point

If you’re into manual trans muscle cars, the ‘13-14 is a great choice.
It’s especially tough if you don’t mod.
To me that’s why I’d keep it and have a trusted professional shop mod and tune it.
For let’s say $2500 invested, you will have a car that you can’t touch for the price.
If that’s not your thing, I’d say you’re getting old so sell, move on, enjoy the Jag.
That’s just my opinion.
I personally can’t understand guys that can’t even consider the basic mods, you have no idea what you’re missing.
