This convo started in LNC about buying ammo, here is probably more appropriate.

I think the run on ammo is starting. From when I first posed the question to having just ordered some ammo the 22LR I put in my cart is out of stock now and the 7.62 I put in my cart increased in price. Now should I add a new gun? Don't know if I want to go handgun or shotgun...I have a 92FS, G19, Shield, and .357 revolver. I have a Remington 12ga pump and 1200 (have not shot in probably a decade). If I go handgun I'll stick with 9mm as that is what I have most in stock. Damn decisions...
As fear increases, folks will buy all of the ammo they can. Don't be surprised if the Federal government ceases ammo sales if any civil unrest happens. Your logic is correct, but you don't list an AR platform rifle in your list. If you really want to stick with 9mm, have you considered an AR-9, Scorpion or an MP5 (either H&K or PTR varients). I have two AR-9's and an MP5 with pistol braces. They are all so much fun to shoot.

Yeah I was looking at the scorpion. I don't think I can justify $1K to the wife though. I have a few ARs.

ammoseek.com that is what I used to find a good price. It is sold out but got Federal XM193 1000rd for $339 after shipping earlier today.

Edit: Guess I was wrong...the wife has approved the scorpion purchase. I wonder when she and what she is going to do/buy as payment...

Strike while the iron is hot. Remember, the only one you could find came as a package with optic, 1000 rounds of 9mm, sling and any other options you were considering............

I’ll remember that website. I didn’t go thru with that added 500 more rounds at a local place for $180.00 tax included. She will want something lol.

Great, although I've only shot it once - lol. That was a week ago when I shot 50 rounds at 15/25/50 feet for the functional test of Multi-State Carry Course I attended. I'd consider myself a novice shooter. It's very comfortable to hold and shoot. Mine has the manual safety.

Instructor scored my target at 218. The min to pass was 175. I was suprised and very pleased!

LOL. I was looking through my storage closet trying to find a pad lock and I noticed that one of the boxes was kind of heavy. So I opened it up and found 2,920 rounds of various calibers of ammunition that I had completely forgotten that I had. 9mm, .223 and .22LR were the bulk of it. So yeah, I'm kind of happy.

Nice, just like finding a $20 in your pocket that you had forgotten about.

Easy peasy...magpul makes 35rd mags for it, i have two and they work great, I have 10 CZ 30rd mags that also work fine

Hard on the fingers to load though...I recommend a maglula...worth every penny
