My agency instructed us last Friday we would be working from home until further notice. That same day, my wife's employer told her office the same thing.

Any one else under this mandate?

Yeah. My wife is working from home I’m still in the field working as normal for now. A lot of service calls that I had booked canceled and phone has been silent the last few days.

Not mandated, but encouraged/accepted here at the office. They have said no visitors... I came in today and will play it by ear the next couple weeks. Our 4 plants remain fully operational for the time being.

My issue is that my wife works from home 90% (taking up our office) of the time and my 4 year old is there 3 days a week with Grandma or Grandpa. Not the most productive work environment.

As our Network Manager, it was not much notice. We had to stand up additional RDS machines, increase the CPU and RAM for them all, and buy additional Microsoft RDS CALs on very short notice to make this happen. This morning we are getting lots of email and phone calls about people who have a hard time following written and tested instructions for connecting remotely.

I have noticed an overall Internet latency increase at home with both myself and wife working remotely. I assume many other people on the same Spectrum pipeline is putting a strain on the network infrastructure.

And yeah, my home office doesn't have a door. So my 2 kids (9 and 11) are home for spring break, with my Father-In-Law here all week watching them. And the 2 dogs want attention as well.

As a car salesman, not only is working from home otherwise known as unemployed, I have to deal with the general public and all their nastiness coming in, sometimes for no other reason than because they have nothing better to do.

I've at least stopped shaking hands, but that's about all I can do.

My dealer is open, so are the other 14 he owns.. most are in MA, also where I live. We are under state of emergency and are limited to gatherings of 25 or less. The dealer I’m at is just over the border into NH, still nothing yet. I’m flat rate by the job on the car soooo yea. It’s been a rough 2 months just like it always is this time of year in the industry, but with this, I bet I won’t get any compensation for any time off needed due to it all.

I was issued a laptop by my supervisor "in case" I need to work from home, but no word has been given by the powers that be and there is not even a rumor of working from home in my office yet. They issued hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes as well, but no word to work from home. :(….

Just got this email.
"FWIW, if you currently have a laptop please ensure you have what you need to support remote access, should you need it."

I'm not sure what they will do with me. I'm salary, but can't work from home. A big part of my job is taking vibration readings on rotating equipment.

A lot of voicemails this morning from customers wanting to hold off on projects due to the fear of being sent home without pay or just general short and medium term financial uncertainty.

This ripple effect from this goes a long way

I'm in finance. I'm at the office because I need my computers. I'm making all of my employees work remotely. I have a separate, private entrance to the building so I don't need to be in any common areas at all. I'm accepting no visitors. UPS / Fedex have been instructed to leave packages at the door. MS Teams, IP based phones, etc. make working remotely a no-brainer for my firm.

Service Advisor here. We are open and no signs of shutting down, but we are being affected. We usually have 70 appointments and today we have 40.

I was told to stay home today. Apparently an employee's roommate tested positive for Covid-19. The employee has been tested and is waiting for their result. Waiting on word for next steps.

I generally work remote 80% of the time. But currently I'm in the office gathering my stuff and I plan to leave in the new hour or so.
