First pass off the transport trailer from the Huracan that DOMINATED the Roll Race event at tx2k, The 3500+HP @drag965 Underground Racing Huracan X3 version sent a message from its first shake down pass of 236 mph. John Reed Seb my Kevin Howeth at 80% power and that was enough to set the fastest speed that the event has ever had, the previous records were held by Underground Racing and the most recent was 229 two years ago by @kchoweth in the yellow @drag965 Huracan. After that pass John set the power back to 60% and ran another two passes just under 220. After rumors being spread from a sore GTR tuner that the clocks were not right on the 236 pass, we decided to put the power back to 80% and EVERY pass in eliminations. It went (over) 230mph on every pass and it reset that speed record on an eliminations pass at over 236mph. Keep in mind this Huracan is full weight with 18/19" toyo and hoosier street tires. This Huracan could drive across the country and back as it is a true street car. Plenty more video coming soon.

It's done for more a measure of the cars performance, not the driver's.

So all of the guys that have been drag racing at 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile tracks for over 50 years havent been doing the same? Its still a performance benchmark from a stand still. Its just silly is how i feel. Take that same car and race a pro tree and let me know what breaks. I just dont understand it.

Think of it this way. Live and let live. People want powerful cars and want a way to measure their performance. If the 1/8th mile (1/8th mile is lame btw) and 1/4 mile were the only true measure than people would just build tube framed rails with solid spooled axles. And if that's your thing, cool!
If you're not impressed by the UGR Lambo then I don't know what to tell you. And just to draw a comparative to your last statement, ok cool line them up and run 1320 feet on a pro tree. Then we'll line up Antron Brown's TF dragster against the UGR Lambo and lets do the Texas Mile and on the way back stop and get some Whataburger and run it again and see who wins. You see, both are silly.

I’m not impressed with $800k modified lambos. Driver skill out of it? Driver skill was never part of the equation in any awd, dct car. You can strap anyone in the seat of those cars and it is going to bust 200mph. Point and shoot.

I feel bad for the blue collar dudes in the 3 pedal warriors out there trying to compete with the deep pockets of the others. It’s just the new way to flaunt your bank account. No skill, all money, boring as shit.

You are correct. To Each His Own. I would just rather see these guys building a total drag car. That means from a stop. At a tree. Not starting at 50ish then hitting 236...id like to see this car run an old school race, really i would.

Lol, man cars are running 230mph in 1/3 mile on street tires, 10,000 rpm 2500hp v-10, the damn flyby makes the hair on your arms stand up, the whole crowd goes quiet when they run, it’s the majority of what people show up for. But we all have opinions on what is boring.
And you mean the 3 pedal blue collar dudes who roll race?...they have a Drag stick shift class. Those UCR cars seem to compete for nothing other than fun and bragging rights, rare to compete in much, if any 1/4 mi events, or I haven’t seen them. I don’t know why you feel bad for them
And fwiw the few owners I have met are pretty cool dudes who came from TT vipers/supras/corvettes....

UR is amazing! There's no need for a Bugatti, if I won the lotto, I would be on their site, browsing their customer cars for sale. Most have been freshened up internally and come with a 2 year, 24K mile warranty.

2019 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Twin Turbo For Sale @ Underground Racing Motors LLC

1,150 to the tire for 400K with a warranty. ****ing hell that would be an amazing daily. :)

Personally I’d prefer a NTH moto built gen V viper but seriously they fall in similar price bracket and all of them are stupid well sorted cars that can really do it all. It baffles me that people hate on them. Color me jealous I can’t park one in my garage at this point in life yet.
