New client of mine. He just received delivery of this vehicle. It had the DISO installed…one of the better jobs I’ve seen…LOL. The whole vehicle was a mess. Swirl city. Heavier scratches, dull lifeless paint due to so many defects. Thin spots/burn spots where someone attempted to correct some heavier defects in the driver’s front fender. A total shame for a brand new vehicle to be delivered in this condition.

The ‘details’:

Blackfire foam shampoo.
Medium clay mitt.
McKee’s 37 iron remover.
Adam’s tire and wheel cleaner.
Misc. brushes, mitts, etc.
DeFelsko PTG.
Flex 3401
Flex XFE15—until backing plate broke.
Rupes Mark III 21
Misc. foam pads.
Griot’s fast correcting cream.
Griot’s perfecting cream.
Adam's Revive hand polish.
Optimum panel wipe
22ple Mistico Elemento Forte.
22ple VM1.
McKee’s37 APC.
McKee’s37 high gloss tire dressing.
SCG Pro glass cleaner.
Metro vacuum.
Scangrip lighting.
Ranger quick jack.

Scott, so the dealer is responsible for that mess? They should get your client's bill. Seriously. I'd be really, really pissed. I'd visit the dealership and show them ALL of those before (and after) pics. Thankfully to the owner, you're a car finish miracle worker. Great job!!

Thanks everyone. I really did look like someone took sandpaper/brillo pad/magic eraser (most likely) in an attempt to remove some defects...also just plain poor wash technique.

My client purchased it from out of state and once delivered here, they would not except and liability on it...said it's his now.

Just bad customer service...

That sucks that they wrote off liability once it was delivered to you. It would probably have been just as expensive for the owner to try to deal with the selling dealership long distance. Well, at least the owner has the satisfaction and peace of knowing that the car is now as perfect as it can be.

So 500 miles? Did he buy it new and it’s gotten that bad in such little use?
I love that new red interior, and with the new boost ready bottom end, it’s hard not to buy one under MSRP and throw a Whipple on it.
For a job like this, what’s the average price?

Thanks again everyone!

I hand polished the wheels with Adam's Revive polish and their supplied applicator. The wheel finish is VERY sensitive/soft.

From what he is telling me this is how he received it. Some are saying that he may of attempted to wash it himself with poor technique/tools as well, but I really can't say, just going on what my client told me.

bimini: Interior was great. I like it! Whipple/Procharger/Turbo(s) pick your poison! Pricing is heavily dependent on your area as pricing varies. Around here you are in the 1,000-1800 range.

Awesome job, some people shouldn't be allowed to detail a car. Bravo to you.
