I finally got around to installing the metco pulleys that have been sitting on my shelf for a while now. I did some research on what supercharger belts everybody on here recommends now-a-days.
I found that the majority preferred the goodyear gatorback over the gates belts. Eventually the gatorback turned into the continental elite but carried over the same part numbers.
Well based on that info and part numbers i ordered 2 different sized belts through amazon and was surprised with what i received.
Amazon's listings now states that the continental elite line has been replaced with OE technology series. So the same part numbers are now providing completely different belts which are labeled as serpentine belts.
The 78 inch belt came in as the elite that has the same design as the original gatorback with the quiet channels. But the 79 inch belt i ordered (which by the way is the one that fits my setup perfectly) looks more like a traditional belt and is labeled OE technology serpentine belt.
Would you guys run this 79 inch belt or should i return them and try to find the elite instead? Thanks for any feedback.
