There definitely was a wow factor moment that I just had, when I saw the headline pop up on my phone alert.

Anyone with half a brain knows what's going on here...

Players are asking for crazy contracts, owners don't want to pay for stadiums. All of sports will be playing in high school-sized stadiums with the privileged to pay and watch and basically make the rest of us pay $500 plus a year for a package to pay for players and pocket more money. Owners actually lose money owning a stadium do to concessions and such. Call me crazy but they want us to think they are protecting an investment but this it's as clear as daylight just like why amazon is freaking out all china products are being put on hold imported in which help our market becuase we stop imports in and provide jobs to the american man but the sports thing, I saw this crap back in 2005, time was a ticking. The WWF was smart with PPV back in the day and now all of sports is catching up to pocketing cash.

Bye bye to sports watching :(

Oh c'mon man! This is about internal growth if there was a real outbreak it would be a lot worse then it is now. I'm a Conserve/lib but I know a read/bluff when presented. Trump for 2020, I believe in both sides I lib on certain things and conserve on others. I'm not trying to start war brah

I will say I'm not paying for sports, will not do it.

It IS a lot worse.

We're just not testing as much as we should be.

The outbreak in Seattle was only found because a local infectious disease expert tested AGAINST FEDERAL ORDERS for Covid-19.

They held off for a couple of weeks, but on Feb. 25, Chu and her colleagues "began performing coronavirus tests, without government approval," the Times reports. They found a positive case pretty quickly, and after discussing the ethics, they told state health officials, who confirmed the next day that a teenager who hadn't traveled abroad had COVID-19 — and the virus had likely been spreading undetected throughout the Seattle area for weeks. Later that day, the CDC and FDA told Chu and her colleagues to stop testing, then partially relented, and the lab found several more cases. On Monday night, they were ordered to stop testing again.

"In the days since the teenager's test, the Seattle region has spun into crisis, with dozens of people testing positive and at least 22 dying," the Times notes. "The scientists said they believe that they will find evidence that the virus was infecting people even earlier, and that they could have alerted authorities sooner if they had been allowed to test."

Oh, and here's someone who was making fun of the virus response:

^ The above led to the Jazz game being canceled tonight, which led to the NBA postponing the season.

Just take everyones Temp at the door like they do in China at certain restraunts. Fairly quick and efficient way to rule out the sick from the healthy.

Heck, may as well suspend all sports for 2020, at least until a vaccine or cure is developed.
