Hmmm, that didn't go as planned...

Here's a pic...

I noticed that right away. When I saw '2002 Cobra' in the thread title, I expected the car would be in Australia. Nice looking car! Only 850 miles. Wow.

Hi guys - yeah - the fugly front bumper lights and RHD are a give away. I was amazed at the low mileage - and the 'R' clone bolt-ons? Well, each to their own - but the killer is the asking price - $80K AU which is $52K USD - the guy is on drugs.....

With out the clone R stuff, and bone stock, I would LOVE to have that car here. I dont care if ugly. Talk about unique. That is a rare piece, especially as there were only 100 2002 cobras, and exclusively for OZ. Remember, as mentioned above, Ford took a "break" with the Cobra in 2002 in the US.

The lights in the bumper are odd, and very hard to find. They are 2-function, they are a spot light (the OEM high-beam in the headlights was judged to be inadequate for ADR [Australian Design Regulations]) and a marker light in the bottom of the spot - you can make them out operating here:

Look like it will be around 7 more years before it is possible to bring one of these back to the states. Quick reading indicates the car needs to be 25 years old to import a car from OZ.

Interesting it has the 03/04 GT/ANNI folding mirrors that everyone pays big money for, but they are not painted to match.

Thanks, Dave. I figured that was the case. Man, $52K asking price in US dollars is really steep. If it was a true Cobra R, it would be different. Their vehicle safety requirements really messed up the front bumper.
