This video does a good job of showing you the perspective of VR. You're looking through the headset. Everything is true to life scale and it feels like you can reach out and touch it.

So for us that enjoy racing, it works really well. You can even judge distances better for track times. But imagine the above video in these high performance cars like in the video below. It feels incredible. The guys reaction when the race starts is exactly what I did.

Holy crap, that is amazing! I can only imagine how it must feel actually using the VR headset. Wow! Imagine where the technology will be in 5 years!!!

That looks awesome, so immersive. Next we’ll have bodysuits likes in Ready Player One.

On a side note, I’ve been more impressed with the newest VR porn offerings myself, it makes the ass dimples look absolutely amazing!:D

VR is pretty crazy. I just sold my gaming pc with an oculus rift headset. Pretty fun but damn it can make you extremely nauseous. I threw up twice using it.

They are a lot of fun, my buddy is real into it. I don't have the time nor the money any longer or else I would have a set up too. The racing is a ton of fun especially if you have a high dollar wheel/pedal setup. We played some shooting games too where you have to drop the mag, reach for a replacment, load it and then rack the slide/charge bolt, that was a lot of fun too.

Only drawback is I could only do like 1 race at a time before feeling really nauseous. Thats me personally and I'm sure you get used to it but I couldn't spend a lot of time playing

Yeah the nausea wore off for me after the first week.

Funny seeing this thread now. I literally just added a Samsung HMD Odyssey+ to my racing rig last night. I'm impressed so far.

Very nice. That's a great headset for the money. Very well rounded and less than $300

I paid $200 for it, so I'm happy. No SDE that I can see, and it has a pretty stout resolution for a VR headset. I'm planning to run the Coca-Cola 600 this year with it.

Are you getting that Half Life game? I hear its exclusive to VR.

Must be different than the old school Nascar games... I never made it more than 4-5 laps without taking out the field haha

I've never played HL or been a fan of that type of game, but maybe. Haha

iRacing? Very much so. It's what the pros use to practice away from the track. Laser-scanned tracks and vehicles and accurate physics.
