Always liked the red/black look on the S197's. Looks great!I posted pix of my car back in Dec. 2017 (post #718) with the Dura Bright Alcoa's and realized I had not added a picture with the Black Alcoa's............

Your GT-500 does look awesome, Robert, with the black Alcoa wheels. You know, I never knew about the hockey puck antenna on the trunk lid of the 2009 GT-500. I agree with your thinking. It does look out of place there. Again, awesome car there. Thanks, and Yes! When someone mentions "Hot Looking!" (for any car)........<<<That matches the description.
...................and OCD set in when I was looking for my car. I knew it was going to go directly to Las Vegas for the Super Snake upgrade, and I knew Shelby was immediately going to strip off all of the brand new Ford stripes and install the Matte Black Super Snake stripes. I could find plenty of Torch Red w/White stripes and a few stripe deletes, but I wanted my car to look like the description on the original Ford window sticker, so I searched until I found the exact car I was looking for, all options including Shaker 1000 instead of the NAV/Shaker 500 (back then it was one or the other) and also Black stripes and this car was it!!
"If" I would have started my search 2 months earlier I could have ordered it, but I was late for the 2008 production order time so I had to find a car already built that was optioned exactly as I wanted. One would ask.....Why didn't you just order a 2009?? <<<That is a Great question also.....2007/2008 were the only two years on a GT500 that the Sat. Radio (and it's antenna) could be ordered as a N/C delete option. I did not want that Black pimple/hockey puck and it's hole on top of my beautiful Super Snake trunk lid, so it had to be a 2008, and I wanted HID's so it could not be a 2007......2009-up Sat. Radio was standard with no delete option.
